11/3/2021 23:29 | Guys, I got invited on to a private investor podcast recently (bit of a rush job for me) to talk about some of my investments and TXP is one of them - not sure I did the company full justice, but I gave it a go - was pretty nervous as well out of my comfort zone! Enjoy. | king suarez

11/3/2021 19:23 | Jonny, “ Buffy, what you been smoking?” Never smoked anything in my life. Well, except for bacon many years ago, while I was in Italy. Schlumberger near the end (for Parsons), told me in person that SOU were gambling by doing it on a shoestring. The assets were good, but needed proper funding to do it properly. Do you know better than them? I mean, they didn’t appear to have an armchair unlike you, but even then. 🤣 Buffy | buffythebuffoon

11/3/2021 19:02 | I couldn't find it earlier but I do think that PB originally did say that Chinook was their best drill so far with all the depths etc matching up to their pre drill targets. Cascadura deep then trumped it of course. I do think the tone slightly changed re Chinook with PB saying in either December or January that they were pretty confident in what the Cascadura intermediate section might produce but omitting Chinook. Not sure if too much should be read into it except ultimately Chinook is a different structure and they are less sure on the gas rates/volumes until they have finished testing. Maybe also the gas pressures at Chinook were also lower than those at Cascadura so they can be less sure? With that all said they have applied for more drill locations at Chinook so who knows 🤷a | homebrewruss
11/3/2021 19:00 | DB ref 13777 "Post that gas testing at Chinook might it be possible to resume the extended oil test if it is producing decent volumes?" Almost certainly not. You could probably find a way of squeezing the perforated gas zone, running tubing beyond it and packing it off to produce the oil, although it wouldn't be best practice. The problem is gas. 35 API contains a fair chunk (technical term) of associated gas. In a well test, you flare the produced fluids, or use a test separator and flare the gas, for which you get a permit on the basis that it's a short term necessary evil. On production you separate the gas and oil, but what do you do with the gas. Very few governments' HSE departments are going to allow uncontrolled gas emissions for an long term period. | spangle93

11/3/2021 17:54 | Yes that's my recollection from his presentation last night MT. I just was sure I'd heard him refer to Chinook as the best well to date back in an interview from October after announcing the gas disvovery. I've possibly not remembered correctly though. I'll try to find the interview to confirm. Was just wondering if we could read into the comment that either Casca, Deep is likely to prove better than expected or Chinook is possibly not as good as expected. | spawny100
11/3/2021 17:43 | That honour once belonged to Coho and now it’s a mere echo in a series of bigger and bigger finds. Interestingly those finds increase as they move to the west? Curious. | davidblack
11/3/2021 17:38 | spawny - Casca Deep - as I recall it, he described it last night as the "best well by far" we have drilled on Ortoire to date! | mount teide
11/3/2021 17:17 | To quote a once noted oil analyst (me): - "Any good analyst should be able to make a strong buy or sell case for any stock they follow at any time." Mind you, I'm just a faded relic these days, basking in former glories! | hiddendepths

11/3/2021 16:31 | I think ngms is ok posting the negatives/risks, personally. He's not a typical de-ramper, like Leoneobull and Rossanan were, and although most here feel this is a fantastic risk/reward situation, we don't want to be a cheerleader only thread imho? He also posts some interesting technical insights at times. | king suarez
11/3/2021 16:27 | NgmsIs it painful being so downbeat all the time?I swear TXP would have to find 500Tcf of gas and bring it all to market within a year for you to even crack a smile......lol | herschel k
