My purchases yesterday and a holding just short of notifiable would be a little foolish if I carried that believe.
Looking at the buy trades for 2-3-2023 they were made at about 0.325p a share

For the record I too believe there is a deal on the way! Purely based on the previous guidance from the company, strengthening share price, personal research and increasingly desperate attempts to scare the weak on here! "

Just short of a 3 % holding then... so even if they held onto it - well short of a notifiable holding now !

Did not listen to us though ..... sad.

On the subject of the AIM listing, it would be interesting to know if other markets are as accepting of narrative companies. It would make for an interesting case study. Narrative companies seem to be prolific on AIM. By contrast and within TOM's own tiny realm, we have seen PQE de-listed in the Canadian market when they failed to deliver on CORT. And Valkor's most recent attempt at scamming the market with an oil sand venture has come to naught as Ecoteq has apparently been delisted in Norway (after a very short run). With all the stories of how litigious the US has become, I can only assume there would have been lawsuits by this point if TOM were listed there. The only company that seems to have survived is US-listed Vivakor, which defenestrated its management, decamped from Utah, and raised enough funds to acquire one or two income producing assets. Whoa. Cashflow counts.

At £1.6m the market cap only has a bit further to fall to be within the range of the listing value. With some cash in the bank, it is possible someone might see it as an opportunity for an RTO. For any new strategy, it would be prudent to write off and dispose of any of the remaining RF equipment and leases as well as the 10% of TSHII. Ultimately, the environmental liabilities of those sunk assets will weigh heavily. I think we still haven't seen the language on the Valkor loan, but shareholders have been led to believe it will be forgiven if there is no TSHII funding. Am I missing anything?

I see that 'bargain' hunters are buying up Novum's excess stock.

Perhaps they will be able to sign off the going concern this year!

1d, I did take a look at the full financials some time back and they explained the cash policy. If they have followed the policy up to this point they will have some dry powder.

If you recall last year the share was suspended in April for failure to file accounts on time. I cannot remember whether it was explicit, but going concern sign off seemed to be the sticking point.

Not long now before the same question will be asked. The difference this time will be that it would be imprudent of the Directors to confirm that TOM can raise funds to sustain the on-going losses - unless they have a plan to significantly reduce the cash burn.

The day of reckoning is not far off.

Given previous funding and the burn rate, one can assume that the timing of this latest £300k (less costs) was a 'just-in-time' exercise to pay February salaries. So with that done (whew!), it is likely they are funded through June or possibly July, depending on how significant the costs of said financings. How many more volumes can this narrative run to? Next, TOM will have to find funding to expand the library.

Good question, Diddy. Back of the envelope - JP is on £20k per month, add in another £10k for the Board. A business or first class flight + car hire in Salt Lake City is probably £8k plus hotels and meals for 10 days will put you up to about £40k so far. Add in an accounting service (£2-3k?), Nomad (£5k?) and associated listing costs and, voila! £50k. This doesn't include the heavy legal costs that have been talked about for getting the 'big deal' done. Instead, it's basically an organization budgeted to pay salaries to JP and the Board and provide JP with a monthly holiday to the snow-capped peaks of Utah. Good gig if one can get it! BTW - this number is pretty consistent in the financial reports over the last couple of years where TOM seems to run at an annual loss of ~£600k. So, TOM is consistent in getting no big deals getting done, no capital being expended on real assets. Just a lifestyle company funded by frustrated shareholders.

Yesterday's RNS indirectly confirms that TOM are burning £50k a month of cash. Shareholders need to be asking precisely what work is being delivered for the weekly £12.5k.

JP and the Board must be laughing themselves silly. Another £300k from the gamblers. The Board hold no shares, so they haven't been massively diluted. Nor have they taken a pay cut - - either to stretch out funding or through admission that they are effectively a waste of space. Instead, it's just been 'saddle up and keep the gravy train rolling, boys!' It is nothing short of criminal, but sadly, they will get away with it. I'm late to the game, but thankfully Fenners and Diddy on this thread have been providing a much more truthful commentary than the company over these last few years.

Just goes to show - to make money you don't need a business
just narrative

A little indication of how logic falls out of the window when we pursue profit.

deepFreeStone19 (no idea who s/he is and whether s/he is connected to the company) puts her/his 3+2 together. In it Zac's Einstein quote of '7 hours ago' is then used to demonstrate that news is on the way.

(I have taken deleted a few paras from the post)

From the 6th Sept 2023 Zac Phillips, Tomco NED and funding guru said, ".. pursuing 3 or 4 active funding channels, ... getting close to the point at which we'll be executing exclusivity with one of those fundiung channels."

Then on Friday the quadrise presentation strongly suggested that the time has come.

Now today I note Zac Phillips, Tomco's non exec director and director of "Oil & Gas Advisors" (provides its Clients with bespoke finance management support) ... I note that Zac Phillips is posting very postively today just 7 hours ago, quoting Albert Einstein; "Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value"

Well well, that sounds like someone that believes he has delivered some value.

Come on let's have the news!"

The post is an embarrassment and Zak should be equally embarrassed that he is being quoted in such a way.

Hopefully Karma catches up with this guru.

F66, a 90% dilution since Arnie came on and threatened to be back. That was August 22.

Let me help you with that

Anyone holding the same number of shares since 30-9-22 less than 18 months ago

would have been diluted by 55 %

and still have Nothing to show for it.....

No business
No plan
No hope

So a few weeks ago the gamblers were saying that Mathew Jones must be some kind of investing guru and he "must know something " because he bought 50m shares at 0.1 p a share.

They speculated that he also bought the 125m at 0.08p a share (then a premium to the share price)

This time their "guru" chooses not to buy at 0.045p/share so come on gamblers what does he know now ?

I can tell you we know - if he wants to sell the 50m shares (assuming he has not already) he would lose about £22.5k on them.

If he did buy and wants to now sell the other 125m he would lose about £44k !

So possible £67k loss since October 23.

Let alone the paper loss he's siting on for the rest of the stake.

Still has some catching up to do to reach the £100m Mike Ashley lost on Debs - but do the gamblers get the point yet?

If you have a lot of money - you have a lot of money to lose , it does not make a guru.

Arnie, I'll be back, Little made the statement on 16 August 2022. At that point the mid-market price was 0.54p. Today it is 0.0525p, meaning that Arnie has lost a tad over 90%.

That is why this thread is here!

No sign of Stuart. Meanwhile, Goulding is worried that lower oil prices might impact TOM's share price But Talais isn't concerned as he's sure the financing for TSHII is going to happen this time.
