If the funding fails, surely he should fall back on what he is qualified to do and set up a specialist bakery. Immediate turnover, a business, customers, etc etc - may be JP could make a success of this and return to basics. Many have had to do this and however depressing it is initially, have benefitted from previous mishaps and built a successful enterprise. Far better than just hanging around in UTAH.

Sugar started on a market stall , Branson with a record shop (I think) and then a label I bet they were actually selling a huge amount , had loads of employees and infrastructure and making enormous profits before they ever dreamt of asking to borrow $150m !

A one man band goes to a bank and says " I have a great idea for a business can I borrow $150m?"
Oh really?
How much profit are you making? - " Zero"
What are your sales ? - " Zero"
Can you do this idea? - " No , I have no skills in it "
Why are you here?
Door's over there.

Alone like in Alan Sugar or Richard Branson, but there are many more you know, give the lad a chance, bless him.

JP has an almost impossible task and seems to be handling everything alone - very much alone which is always tricky. There must soon be a point for the big decision - is the funding in place or not. All the third party due diligence reports in the world will not change the substance of the proposal and the chairman must KNOW if it will happen. If not he must call an end to these proceedings and tell investors whether TOM has any options other than to stop.

Lopo, I am sure that the funding of on going operational costs will be in place.

The company will struggle to avoid writing off the previous leases - £8m from memory, and there must be a question about financing of the 90% of the Tar Sands. If the company cannot demonstrate the financing is in place then the auditors will be taking a close look at the T&Cs of the agreement.

The drilling for dirty oil has to work!

Yep free as some times in the past it would time out before you could study all the stock held, but I decided it was not worth the monthly payments, and as a HL account holder they now do live pricing but I need to see if it is a page like ADVFN have

Investors ought to wait for the audited accounts due this month to find what has been going on financially. Plenty of rumours abound, but the auditors have to work out what viable assets TOM had at year end and their carrying values on the balance sheet. The chairman said TOM has sufficient funding - the auditors will confirm this and also whether they agree that TOM has a viable business despite being a 'one man' business on the ground. Investors may receive a favourable picture if the auditors have been able to determine what is actually going on now and evidence that the funding negotiations are likely to reach successful conclusion.

It was rumoured on another chat forum, that Petromad had sold his PQE shares and decided not to tender, which lots of us could not understand.

Hi Vauch, when you say "to see live prices" you will continue to see live prices as I do and I'm not Blue. Did you really mean you subscribed so your monitor wouldn't get timed out after a few seconds? Or that you wanted L2 which you have to subscribe for?

From LSE https://www.reddit.com/r/Petroteq/Petromod who is doing the admin for the PQE reddit live chat, has just bought 6million TOMCO shares and i think a few others are looking to buy in soon.

I was wondering, now that TOM owns 100% of Turboshale, did they think of selling it instead of a placing? It must be worth a Bob or 2?"

"RNS 04/12/2019
In addition, under the MoU, the parties shall explore the potential for the use of TurboShale's RF technology in an oil sands field operated by Valkor in Trinidad."

LOL !

That gave me a laugh !

I believe if you check the balance sheet , there is sweet FA value ascribed to it in the intangibles.
I looked because I was going to see if writing it down to zero would have a material impact.
2 years later and not a peep out of Valkor re using it in Trinidad - gives you the answer - no chance !

Since TOM have abandoned it and done nothing with it in 2 years - because of Covid don't you know - whilst moving to spend all their cash on PQE's CORT test plant (now returned) and then moving on to hoping to get someone to dirty drill traditionally .....

Clearly it's dead in the water.

so it likely is worthless.

It will take years for TOM to develop a structure to deal with a $150m development that will be technically very challenging. It does not happen overnight. No one will lend TOM the cash unless TOM have that structure to deliver the project, and structures cost cash and time.

Whilst you will never accept it, the chairman may have to come to the view that the Board cannot allow TOM to carry on 'carrying' on indefinitely. The losses for the company and investors are enormous and applied commonsense will dictate the point in time when TOM Has to throw in the towel. If the funding materialises then that should give respite. But seriously a one man operation is not going to impress, TOM's track record is dreadful and there are far better investment opportunities where the businesses actually have income which is growing based on a real and sustainable business with customers etc etc. Whilst a lot of you show affection and loyalty to JP, he needs extraordinary personal and technical skills to pull this off as most of you will agree. You must see this.

As regards the bizarre PQE "offer" itself mentions 279% and 1032% premium

I posted months ago that the office address given for this offerer in Switzerland looked like an ordinary house - nothing special.

When stuff looks too good to be true...

And PQE not sorted out their filing problems , massive losses and totally dependent upon new share capital...
