If they have finance in place it is very material to the share price so you can be sure that it would be announced straight away.

The 10% deposit sghould be reported because it is both a material event in its own right and because as has been pointed out it would be related to the financing.

If they have not entered paid the 10% then that is also material.

RNS tomorrow morning - should be. Work on the basis that bad news is generally deferred.

If TOM has or is about to enter any financial agreement which is not public knowledge and the arrangement is share price sensitive, the board should issue prompt announcement of the terms and relevant details. So one would expect an announcement on 1st September of any agreements that have been entered into; not on 2nd nor 3rd etc.
Penalties for non compliance are stiff!
Therefore by 1st September investors should receive announcement/s of confirmation any financial transactions which have taken place.
Absolutely no reason for the Board not to comply and investors can feel confident that the board will fulfil its obligations. If there is no announcement on 1st September, that would imply the Board has nothing to report.

I think if Tomco have paid the 10% then they definitely have the deal for the remaining 90% in place, water tight, nailed down and banged to rights otherwise the board will be on a one way trip to the local asylum.

I agree that if TOMco have paid the 10 per cent .. then it is likely that TOMco
have the finance in place. DF

I think even the most negative posters on tom would have to agree that IF tomco have signed off on the first 10% of the Tar Sands deal they MUST have offers of finance. Surely MG, Castro and JP could not all agree to sign off without it?

Also, we have the MSAR test result due. They said by end of August so I assume it could be abyday now and then the Oil Major testing the product produced.

Could these 3 nuggets be the perfect storm for TOMMY to finally move over a penny or two?

We will know for sure before a week tomorrow. I would imagine the directors would want to announce some progress before what could be a tricky AGM.

Quite an exciting end to the day.
Anyone think it was rmart doing most of the buying.
Probably anticipating an RNS tomorrow.

Goulding (aka Mixi and other avatars) is well known for investing in dog companies and then ramping them/closing down alternative views:

PET (listed and morribund)
CICC (delisted and morribund)

and many years ago a dog oil company that folded. There are probably more. He has other history which I will not repeat here.

How much have you tied up here? You really should not invest in this extremely high risk enterprise unless you are prepared to lose all. It is an extremely dangerous place to be at the moment and if you can't see through the 'accounting data', you really are at risk!!

If Groat sacks Potter, the latter should receive a payoff of £150k+( Groat is a very generous chap ) so Potter ought to buy his loyal supporters like RM and SL a Chablis or two!

I know, but it is the only way that most of them can control the dissonance they have about their investments. They know in their moments of reflection that they have made an error and are stuck with a large loss that in reality is irrecoverable, but as long as others are in the same position and no one breaks free from the herd of delusion then it brings some solace and comfort. The irony is that most of us on this thread and those who have paid to break through the censorship, continue only because of the vitriol that is thrown at those who hold a contrary view. They can never back up their positions or refute with objective fact. But Hey Ho.

Firstly, in response to Goulding's question of: wtfdik? absolute zip. You clearly have never read nor would understand a balance sheet or P&L account. You are lost here, and you do not research or read enough. Indeed, your reading is likely limited to only the readers' wives' letters of your collection of sticky Razzle's you keep under your bed Ugh the thought!!

Rmart: You must stop misrepresenting me. I have categorically stated over and over again that there will be no funding for the building of this dream. Not going to happen ever. They only have the placing of these worthless shares supported by fabricated and knowingly deceitful tales of future glory to sell. I will say very clearly: THERE WILL NEVER BE FUNDING FOR THE 10000BOPD PLANT! If they spend what cash they have left on securing the lease they will place shares. If they do not purchase the lease, they will not place shares (for now). Cannot be any clearer.

Fenners,

As for your comments about the site they are going after.....

"As for the acreage, is this the Only place where the extraction "works"?

My reply...No, it is not the only place where the extraction will work. It is however a site that has all infrastructure already in place to facilitate the construction of the plant, roads, electricity, water etc. The site also has a current/live large mining permit. These permits, if starting from scratch would take approximately 12 months to pull all the required data together, submit for approval, and be turned around by the authorities. The site also has and estimated 40m+ (can't remember the exact figure just now) barrels of recoverable oil in situ. So all in all, it is a very attractive site for any producer to consider developing.

"If it really works it will NOT be scaleable if it is.
So either its not scaleable or there are other land areas to go an buy instead."

My reply....You will have to explain yourself on this one mate. The CORT technology plant is of a fully scale-able modular design. The intention of Greenfield has been stated several times to initially build a 5k barrel of oil per day plant (train) and then scale it up by building another 5k train.

goulding, assets does not mean cash.

Either way (as above), no placing is required. Sage is ignoring the fact that if finance is agreed the working capital tom need will be included in that money.

He can't have it all ways ! lol.
