BusaMitch, I've tried twice to download that pdf but just get:

"This site can’t be reached"

So maybe the second week of May when we will get the test results, need to allow for delays.

"It is expected that the enhanced POSP will restart after Easter, and that oil samples extracted from ore of the Potential Site will then be taken, assayed, and then shipped in April to the UK, to enable the Company to complete the necessary lab and pilot testing at the Quadrise Research Facility ("QRF") as planned. As previously noted, we anticipate being able to complete the MSAR(R) tests at QRF within three weeks of samples being received."

6 weeks for FEED which (I assume) includes the three weeks for QFI, so production soon. And it's 25 degC in sunny Vernal today so they won't need to turn the new heaters up to 11.

TOM needs an engineer to get on top of this and quickly who will work with John Potter. Plenty of experienced people around at the moment.

Then investors will sense confidence in future success.

If TOM can pay £150k to Andrew Jones on departure, surely it can afford to buy a good engineer.

WERE AND ARE
Unfortunately did not pay any attention since the PALM days and Chris Brown.
Only recently woke up to the sands thing.
A gamble yes, partly, but gut feeling is it can come off.
Just don't like the way it is set up and operated. TOM hasn't technical skills etc.
It will be another TOM waste of money unless...
Let's not do RF - get this to work by May and then TOM will be a valuable proposition.
Board need to prove they can handle it but not sure if they can.

I am not sure whether you are or were invested. Uncertain about the use of 'invested', because this is just a gamble. Every now and again these things come off.

You are quite right.

Had RE issue been disclosed when creditors liquidation was in prospect, one might have thought just bad luck - let's move on. The delay / concealment of the news is the point that may cause worry / doubt.

Agreed it is surprising there is no technical expertise this end. Having John sit in Utah is all very well and costly but to what avail. Technical problems and Tom is up the creek as of now.

Agreed - delayed reporting is always of serious concern and here the Directors are taking full advantage of just in time news. The task is difficult enough -
How can one have confidence in the Board and in particular the chairman's skills?
Could it be the money is running away faster than planned.

Plenty of issues and reasons for this to go wrong? Little evidence to support
Future success.

Not sure about the importance of JP's history unless his fingerprints were on poor decision taking.

It does seem surprising that for a company that is financing technical development, it appears to have no in house technical resource. Gambling comes to mind.

The last minute reporting/poor communication hardly gives confidence.

The trouble is that until there is go/no go news, there is no substantive evidence, and it is just conjecture. Plenty of scope for this one to go wrong.

Why don't you ask a seasoned engineer here what he or she make of the technical delays which have been reported.
Why not send an engineer over NOW to review the impasse and advise TOM
independently.
Also ask the chairman what effect the delay / modifications have on the budget and how further funding will be secured and timescale particularly if RF is going to run in parallel - not a good idea.
Shareholders do not need further share diluting placings - how can this be avoided.

Reading a cracking book just now. It's amazing the lengths some will go when greed takes hold.

Had John and the Board disclosed the REFORM ISSUE at the 'right time' instead of delaying and being forced to disclose this, I think most would have accepted the situation and moved on. But John didn't and Malcolm Groat, a chartered accountant who knows the rules did not.
This is not a personal attack on anyone, but bearing in mind this concealment, it should raise doubts about whether there is anything else.
The delay in RNS is also a concern.
I think you know John personally so you are in good position to express full confidence. Unfortunately others are not and can only judge on the facts!
If you have over invested in Tom that is your issue, do not get emotional with others.
Try to be level headed and take a balanced view.
If the Directors get this wrong it is the shareholders in toto who lose.

Are you really questioning the need for personal attacks having set up, and spent a month commenting on, a thread to call into question the integrity, ability, honesty and commitment of an person? I mean, that's hypocrisy off the scale.

Is it not surprising that the temperature heating issue was not anticipated before now?
Why does it take so long to remedy the plant when this issue must have been known about for weeks- it doesn't just happen or does it. Valkor are the engineers and are they going flat out here or taking their time because they are not concerned by financial aspect.
No one here seems particularly bothered about the delay effect ie just another delay but what is this doing to the budget.
The whole saga seems unprofessional and I feel sorry for John after all his other problems. Has anyone been in contact to discuss and get the full story.
It just illustrates how fragile the position is and how vulnerable TOMCO is.
My gut feel is this is not the real reason for the hold up - other factors may be involved - heaven knows what.
Ok give it 3 weeks but no more - no news then - ?????

Only thing I have experienced here is personal loss which I would like to recover but no hope in reality.
This could be a well managed joint venture - could be. Do you think SB is having a laugh at our expense to see what Tomco will tolerate.
After he is the key to this, Tomco fund the operation and Valkor can take as long as they want. Had they wanted to, this would have been far ahead and I suspect JP is placed in a delicate position.
I bet he is getting flack from Groat, it is not his fault - who set up the arrangement in the first place.
Take back your unpleasant comments and think!
