07/7/2017 19:03 | It's cheap and delivering against the work set out. RfP in a few weeks maybe then get the resources up. Already savings with gas to power in place | money4me
07/7/2017 17:05 | BBs are quiet considering the upward movement over the last couple of days. Strong gains without any ramping always nice to see. Any particular reason? | master esox

06/7/2017 13:24 | Very strong day with Tlou and about time this started to get taken seriously. Fantastic company with a fantastic team, much more to come. Don't let them go cheap, the shares will be golden with patieence especially how there is no requirement to come back to market. | wheniamfree
06/7/2017 10:13 | I note they are retaining 50% of the downstream power production - perhaps that will be sold off to finance the upstream part(gas well drilling/capex), maybe retain 5-10% for future revenues in addition to the gas revenues? The timing of the submission for 100 MW seems to suit TLOU in terms of progress much more than the competition (years behind in terms of progress?). I would think the competitive submission is just to keep TLOU honest rather than allow them a monopoly for gas supply. Hopefully, it will be a formality if their pricing is reasonable. | andrewsr
06/7/2017 09:37 | Just don't trade, don't sell any. Hold for gold and it's only going one way | snickerdog

06/7/2017 09:20 | like the story here. It's a punt,to be honest why else would we be involved with Aim oilies, but the way ahead is well mapped out and the potential outcome is attractive but achieving success not totally over egged by the CEO- unusual for Aim! | tup2

03/7/2017 23:30 | Plus submission of tender - just awaiting turnaround of some questions submitted a little while ago. Worth noting that the Morupule power station (coal fired) tender was granted 6 weeks after submission. Botswana really wants this clean source of power and the company is really gaining profile in the country | snickerdog
03/7/2017 13:21 | Nice delay or two to sit and monitor with a likelihood of better opportunities to buy more at lows. Submission of a request for a Mining License is a double-edged sword... one small step forward that always results in one long delay waiting for the ML to be granted. Nothing to see here throughout July now from the look of things, next Spring looks like the next pivotal Milestone of great interest | pottermagic2310
03/7/2017 12:30 | Looks like a stake builder before more news imo. This ones got legs, should start to run away as it accumulates more custom. NO BRAINER BUY | kmann
03/7/2017 10:19 | Southern Times By Mpho Tebele GABORONE – Australian firm Tlou Energy Limited has started generating electricity from coal bed methane (CBM), a first for Botswana where power has traditionally been sourced from thermal coal and solar. The Australian company announced this week that it is now powering generators at its Selemo pilot project in Mmashoro village in central Botswana using CBM as it works towards advancing the country’s first gas-fired power station that would feed into the national grid. Gas has been produced in the Selemo area of the Lesedi operation for around a year, and overall Lesedi is estimated to host some 3,2 trillion cubic feet of gas. It is the most advanced CBM asset in Botswana, Tlou highlighted. “This is the first power generated from CBM in the country and this achievement reinforces our view that CBM Gas-to-Power is achievable in Botswana using gas from the Lesedi Project,” said Tony Gilby He said producing the first Gas-to-Power via CBM in Botswana is an extremely significant milestone for the company and in effect proof of a concept of first gas monetisation. He said as the first power generated from CBM in the country, the achievement reinforces his firm’s view that CBM Gas-to- Power is achievable in Botswana using gas from its project. Gilby said CBM gas is a cheaper and cleaner alternative to diesel generation and is significantly cleaner than coal fired. He also noted that by using CBM to power generators it will reduce the group’s own spending on diesel. Gilby added: “This is the first power generated from CBM in the country and this achievement reinforces our view that CBM Gas-to-Power is achievable in Botswana using gas from the Lesedi Project. “CBM gas is a cheaper and cleaner alternative to diesel generation and is significantly cleaner than coal fired power generation.” Detailing the operation, Tlou said that the power needed for the Selemo pilot project had been provided solely by diesel generators before the company redirected gas from wells, which would otherwise be flared, it has now been able to replace one of the diesel generators. It expects to replace another diesel generator in the near term, which will save further fuel costs at the project. The company said that it expects to reduce its diesel requirements by around 50,000 litres per year, and its savings should grow over time as the second gas generation unit is installed. The company states that it is focused on delivering power in Botswana and Southern Africa through the development of coal bed methane (‘CBM’) at its Lesedi CBM projects. Botswana has a severe energy shortage and is currently relying on expensive imported power and diesel generation to deliver its requirements. However, Tlou Energy says that as the 100 percent owners of one of the most advanced CBM project in southern Africa, the Lesedi CBM Project (‘Lesedi&rsquo cheers ft ft | ftangftang
03/7/2017 07:36 | Mining licence in should mean that the Feasibility Study was positive, is forgotten about the mining licence actually. Feel need more of these as will begin to get pretty interesting when one of these pops through | snickerdog
03/7/2017 07:32 | From LSE "Investor Relations Comment from Sasha Sethi: "Just a bit of additional detail, with the detail going in from the Tlou team, this all relates to various questions which were relayed to the Botswana government earlier in June and for which answers were expected. The team received a letter last week to say that the government was still coordinating answers and whilst this was going on that an extension would be granted as regards the RFP submission. There were various questions such as what requirements were for water and some others relating to the Power Purchase Agreement itself. The Power Purchase Committee meets regularly and will advise of what the extended date is and feed the necessary information to the company. It is hoped that the addition engagement on sourcing answers to these fairly simple questions and the extension itself will result in the government turning around the submission quicker. So there's nothing really wrong here or the fault of the company and positives with the mining licence application being in and the possibility of additional focus being applied to this by the government. From speaking to company I think could all play out to our advantage."" | wheniamfree
03/7/2017 06:57 | Mining licence in and slight extension whilst waiting on answers from gov on some questions. Mining licence means that Feasibility obviously done to satisfaction of company | snickerdog
