mdalos, are you able to explain to me why most O&G assets are valued around their 2P/3P reserves with potential upside considered against the contingent 2C/3C resources?

As someone said earlier you have only a very basic (and misguided) understanding of what 1P 2P and 3P actually mean. I suggest you do a bit more research of their definition. Then we can discuss calcs!

So you think those not agreeing with all the positive comments are therefore posting to simply discredit the company for their financial gain. Tell me bright spark, how do you think I would gain by the share price dropping much further ?

I will say this - Tlou does not have sufficient proven reserves to run a 100mw power station as you claim. If they did, they sure as blazes would not be bidding for 10 first up. No doubt they will firm up reserves as we go forward, and probably substantially so. But you posts suggesting proven reserves are far more dangerous and misleading than anything I post here regarding proper representation of what is going on within this company.

The level of conversation on here from the derampers is pathetic. Oil & gas conpanies are an industry ripe for this kind of exploitation lies or even just basic ignorance of the facts because definitions of resources and reserves with their associated hierarchy of levels is not even agreed at an International level. Definitions vary between trading blocs and overarching organisations. It is no wonder then that the understanding of the average investor is limited. Add in the ulterior motives that many post with and it's almost impossible to see the wood for the trees!A quick calculation shows that TLOU has proved and probable resources 2C to run a full 100MW power station for around 40 years with 3C resources for much much more. They are tendering for just an initial 10MW plant with the aim being to grow this incrementally as gas prices rise.The cancelled tender and subsequent re-tendering process and now four week tender submission delay by the Botswanan government has produced a unique opportunity to buy in to TLOU at a fantastic price and I have taken full advantage of this. I hold and will continue to accumulate. PDYOR and ignore the posters on here unfairly and malevolently trying to discredit the company for their own financial gain.

Mdalos1, hard to tell on this BB if people are being serious anymore or just come on to wind people up, but assuming your post is genuine I’d suggest you do some more research into what 1P, 2P and 3P actually mean as you’re fairly wide of the mark.

You need a basic understanding of probabilities and the meaning of 90%, 50% and 10% certainty of commercial extraction. If you want 100% certainty of what's there you would need to drill 1000's of holes in the ground, so instead they base their decisions on probabilities, why bother with 2P or 3P reserves, if it's of no value or use to anyone?

And let's not forget Whendy, that TLOU has no revenue. TLOU has no firm plan to achieve revenue. TLOU has no funding to achieve said firm plan to achieve said revenue. All this non-achieving after NINE YEARS of FAILING. What a PATHETIC state of affairs. And then there is the TLOU does not FRACK and TLOU does not cause EARTHQUAKES.
Boy you Gilby FANBOYS must have unlimited access to crystal meth. Then we have the Botswana Power Corporation who have stated on 3 seperate occasions that COAL and RENEWABLES are the sole sources of ALL of Botswana's future power needs. Why? because they employ thousands of Botswama citizens and CBM hee-haw. Then we have the number 1 MOU with GE - result? NOTHING. Then we have the number 2 MOU with GE - result? NOTHING. Then we have the certain valuation of your shares in TLOU - result? NOTHING.
This share is toxic.

Ive been on lots of BBs over the years and ive seen all sorts of posters rampers derampers very clever people and some who haven't got a clue.But this BB seems to have posters who are not invested have no intention of ever being but come on for some reason to trash the company and put fear into people who have hard earned money invested here.Ive no idea what people get out of it as its like bullying someone you don't even know.Strange how some people get their kicks.

They were ready to start on a 10MW production facility nearly a year ago, so presumably they were taking a different view to the risks they were prepared to take to make a start. The other party don't have any reserves at all, so their risk management must be even more stretched.
1P is 90% certainty and 3P represents 10% certainty of commercial extraction, so if you add up all the probabilities, including 3P, that's about 59 BCF.

2P reserves are 'probable', which equates to 50% certainty of commercial extraction, not 90% 'maybe', which is meaningless. I agree with the intention to convert 2P to 1P, but that doesn't mean they need every CF proven to proceed with the development. There will always be a calculated risk associated with proceeding to production as they've indicated in their latest presentation.

eye aww the quantity I want necessitates buying above and below 6p I don't p1ss around with a couple of thousand shares. Often you see posters like yourself post all day long, worrying and fretting over every tenth of a penny movement and subsequently you find out they've got a couple of thousand or a couple of hundred invested! You post all day and apparently have nothing invested even funnier! Ive been trading and investing since you were a twinkle in ya old mans ball sack and I done pretty good so far so you keep reporting on elephants and ill stick to making money
