11/11/2021 16:58 | Keith Ritchie, Executive Chairman of Titon, said: "The Board of Titon is disappointed with Mat's decision to resign after such a short period at Titon. The search for a new CEO will commence immediately and Mat's successor will be announced in due course. We are due to publish our results for the year ended 30 September 2021 on 16 December 2021 and anticipate that those results will be in line with our expectations." Always hard to interpret such events without inside knowledge. Is he leaving by choice ? | wad collector

28/6/2021 18:14 | "Posted at 17:4017:40 Tory MP urges Javid to consider better air extraction Conservative MP John Redwood urges the health secretary to look at improving air extraction and cleaning systems to see what more can be done to stop disease transmission. He argues this will be essential if we are to learn to live with coronavirus. Javid's answer is simple - "Yes, I will," he says." | briangeeee
04/6/2021 08:36 | In South Korea, where, let's face it , this company mainly trades, the Covid situation is very different to here. If you believe the figures , although the infection rate has not dropped much there over the last 5 months , the death rate remains around 5 a day. The total cumulative covid death rate at 38 per million , is FIFTY times lower than ours. Vaccination has not advanced much , like most of the East , and currently only 9 Million doses have been given, as opposed to our 40 Million (80% of our population) , so the outbreak might last longer than here , but it is clearly a different situation. So maybe they will take much longer to come out of lockdown , and consequently the building sector will be slower to recover. You wouldn't suspect that caution looking at the share price recovery though , so hope I am wrong. | wad collector

14/5/2021 00:11 | "Regulating indoor air A group of 39 scientists are calling for public health reforms for indoor air quality, similar to how the government enacted regulations for clean water, food safety and to ban lead-based paint. The manifesto of sorts, published today in the journal Science, called for a “paradigm shift” as virus cases fall and Americans slowly return to a host of indoor spaces. The authors point to extensive research showing that the coronavirus can linger in the air indoors, floating far beyond the recommended six feet of distance. That puts the onus on policymakers and building engineers to provide clean air in public buildings and minimize risk of respiratory infections, they wrote. The fixes, they argue, can be simple: adding filters to existing ventilation systems, using portable air cleaners and ultraviolet lights, or even just opening the windows where possible." | briangeeee
13/5/2021 09:17 | No trees pulled up but looks good all things considered. Recovery in domestic/euro demand as expected (and more to come IMHO) but still obstacles to be surmounted with the raw materials side of things. Exactly the same international transport/supply chain issues that are likely to favour domestic producers in the near/medium term future. The big tipping point here will be if Korea can get fired up again. | argylerich

11/3/2021 09:59 | No cigar yet but turning around steadily. The domestic manufacturing market is definitely going to be boosted by the increase in supply chain issues/costs to importers. Hopefully the same will come to pass in S Korea and the US in time. | argylerich
11/3/2021 08:35 | Looking for 150p myself now we know trading is on an improving path. Just hold tight hopefully for next figures. | its the oxman |
