11/9/2005 20:52 | He is very shrewd...but he missed out big time on NOP.....sold out and depressed the share price for a long time because of his or his wife's overhang as he/she sold the shares at around 2 pence over a period of time...although he doubled his money he could have easily had a 10 bagger...it actually became a 20 bagger on his initial investment for a short time recently...... | ![]() johndee
10/9/2005 14:56 | Pippin Hi been in TIR since Jan 2002 @ 1.5p i.ve mentioned them on een to bob several times. | ![]() dfgo
09/9/2005 21:45 | Hi - for Pippin, I have a reasonable holding in tiger and toped up yesterday ( the 70k at 2.95) and interested in your personal views of Bruce having met him...considering the quality of management is key to any investment. From everything I have seen he does seem a very smart guy - did excellently on Cambrian and seemes to have a good feel of when to get into oil and when to stay in cash etc....SO he seems very shrewd.... But I have noticed that he has a Very bad reputation ... ok I am refering to with the major ''tipsters'' in particular but still it is concerning. I know there was some issues and FSA investigation into some of his transactions in '90's - but is this it ? Clearly the guy is very sharp - often people who fit into this category are very good at making £££.......but for Themselves !though NO complaints so far - he is doing well for shareholders... As I say , all positive so far But very interested in your personal views.... Thanks | kingrolo
09/9/2005 16:26 | Thanks mart! I like the cash in this one as well as the discount to NAV. I've met Bruce Rowan and rate him. He's one shrewd cookie. And I think that Ascent Resources is going to be a major winner. | pippin
09/9/2005 09:31 | Pippin, Always feel reassured to see you in a stock that I'm interested in :-) | ![]() mart
09/9/2005 08:52 | There was 1 million shares on offer at 3p yesterday. I picked up 250k at 2.9p on Squaregain. Today there was 150k only on offer at 2.95, then there was just 100k, which I took. | pippin
08/9/2005 12:51 | well after a few good size buys the BID price is on the up to 2.75p, offer still ar 3p | master rsi
08/9/2005 10:39 | Adam, yes we mustn't overlook tax but this company has so much cash it does amaze me why the discount is so huge. There's nothing more liquid than cash. | kombimatec
08/9/2005 10:35 | Yes, but there is liquidity, and the dreaded tax man... though seem amply provided for in the share price discount, no? | ![]() adam
08/9/2005 10:17 | K Thanks for that. I've added more. | ![]() mart
08/9/2005 10:15 | According to their last results original investment was £425k but valuation at 30th June 2005 was £1.479m so that's 5.5p per share. Hence why I think they have doubled since NAV announcement and because it is such a large holding the impact is significant. TIR total PV value was £9.4m now £11m. What a leap! | kombimatec
08/9/2005 09:49 | Just checked the Tiger web site. The quoted asset price is £425000. I make that 1.58p per share. AST are now, say 11p conservatively; that's quite a bit more!! | ![]() mart
08/9/2005 09:28 | Me too because TIR have nearly 27m shares in AST and were valued at £1,5m. Now they are worth more the £3,0m. I reckon an increase of 20% of the NAV of TIR as a result. So that's about 5.2 pence per share. I would be grateful if anyone could check and confirm these figures as I wouldn't want to mislead. | kombimatec
08/9/2005 09:19 | I find it extraordinary that there isn't more interest in TIR with the AST connection; what am I missing? | ![]() mart

03/9/2005 12:08 | SP in a nice upward channel. More than happy to hold for the long term. | ![]() brad1
02/9/2005 13:37 | The reason for the share price move UP is on display now on the trades, though ADVFN has them as sells due to the share price has gone up and the trades are delayed by one hour. delayed BUY deals are now reported 300K at 2.60p + 100K at 2.63p and more to come most likely | master rsi
02/9/2005 12:42 | From .......SHARES STRONGLY UP/DOWN this week 29/08/05 (Master RSI) (UPS) Master RSI - 2 Sep'05 - 12:30 - 125 of 125 edit TIR 2.50 - 2.75p -0.05p volume much higher than usual and though the shares are down the offer price is going higher online, earlier buys at 2.60p below middle price 2.675p , are now at 2.69p | master rsi
02/9/2005 12:17 | Adam, mant thanksthanks. My maths was screwy on Franconia, but I have Ascent holding at 26,895,604 shares, and River diamonds no loan note but 8,144,207 shares. There are 665,000 Sunrise Diamonds shares as well (not worth much..).There are effectively 217,481,939 TIR shares (see notes at bottom of latest results to end-June). I have recalculated using better Franconia maths and come to 4,955,459 value of equities/warrants/lo Maybe 1p Minmet is a fairer value, I dunno. - jim | ![]() yumyum
02/9/2005 10:46 | YumYum, I agree looks good value, but depends what you put Minmet in at. I get 3.88p fully diluted NAV with 252m shares and £211k option money. Also this assumes Minmet 1p which is probably fair.
