19/5/2005 16:08 | I wonder if the good Mr.Rowan will ever let the share holders touch some of the profits. @ nick. | @nick
18/5/2005 11:01 | Increased respect to Mr Rowan, for his market timing. The fallout in smaller resource companies shows that this fella is ahead of the game. | mike crowsoft
12/5/2005 21:25 | They already hold 18m as treasury shares and have the authority, following the recent agm, to purchase over 35m and I'm sure they will because they have more cash than they currently require. | kombimatec
12/5/2005 20:28 | i wonder if they will buy back more shares? | ![]() macca28

10/5/2005 20:56 | DFGO I know that; I was just giving an example of the first two commodity stocks that came into my head. Apologies for any confusion. | mike crowsoft
10/5/2005 19:52 | The reason that you are wrong is that the 31 March 2005 valuation includes the proceeds of the Cambrian sale. | hxj
10/5/2005 19:33 | Mike Crowsoft I think Tiger have sold there intrest in Cambrian LONDON (AFX) - Investment fund Tiger Resource Finance PLC said it made a 2.33 mln stg profit on the sale of shares in Cambrian Mining PLC. The company, which focuses on the mineral resource sector, said it exercised 1.2 mln warrants and 150,000 options in Cambrian Mining at a cost of 375,000 stg, and then sold them for a profit of 2.33 mln. Tiger acquired the warrants and options as part of an investment in Cambrian in March 2003. bam | ![]() dfgo
10/5/2005 11:34 | Take a look at OVG, RNS just out re major acquistion and additional 900,000 ounces of gold reserves along with other mineral tagets. Current market cap only £5.4m will shoot up when this hits the radar. Looks very promising imo DYOR. | mbthedude
10/5/2005 11:26 | Well done Kombimatec. I've just seen the news from yesterday. This is one of the rare shares that you can own, but not have to follow everyday, given the circumstances. Even if commodity shares continue to slide, as Cambrian and Asia Energy have done, it is unlikely to have too much of an effect on Tiger. In many ways, I would hope this happens, so as to give Rowan the chance to use the cash pile in better ways than shoving it on deposit. | mike crowsoft
09/5/2005 11:32 | Director snaps up 2.5m more shares today. | kombimatec
06/5/2005 20:39 | please state where you believe it to be wrong. The main point is the market cap is only 4.8m but they have, I believe, 6.0m in the bank. That means at 2.25p is worth 2.8p in cash terms and all the assets are free. Not exactly dire straits! | kombimatec
06/5/2005 17:07 | At the 31st March they declared they NAV was 4.41pps. According to their accounts at year end they had a share valuation of 5.7m and 3.7m cash but also post year end had 2.7m from sale of Cambrian. A no brainer wouldn't you say. Also after recent agm chairman purchased more shares at 2.3p. He knows the value in them and others will begin to recognise it. Just for the record I am a holder so check the facts yourself. | kombimatec |
