03/12/2024 09:55 | He put coveralls on, but did not wear a mask. Makes no sense that he did that. I was really surprised that is how they repaired it. It was a very narrow space that he had to crawl into, cutting through the plaster board makes more sense. | gateside
03/12/2024 09:16 | Good Morning. What a silly plumber. Should have put a coveralls on and worn a mask. He also could have repaired from inside the room. Just cut a hole half way along the bracket and fed a piece of wood in then repaired the hole. Its behind the radiator and would not be seen. | jonjonck
03/12/2024 08:51 | Had the plumbers in yesterday Two of our radiators had become loose on their brackets and needed propped up in order to stay fixed to the wall, the plaster board is thinner than what is used nowadays Cottage has eaves upstairs and younger guy crawled behind walls to put some wood behind wall for radiator to be fixed to. He crawled through the yellow fluffy insulation and never wore a mask. Afterwards he spent about 10 minutes choking. It was quite distressing. | gateside

02/12/2024 22:56 | Yes I shall have to get it sorted and maybe that is what's causing the high humidity readings, oh well back to work tomorrow after a three day weekend but I now have a four day weekend to look forward to, same every year I don't take my holidays and then end up having half of December off | 2gekko
02/12/2024 21:31 | It is a heck of a lot cheaper to replace the sealed units. Very easy to fit as well so does not take a tradesman very long. | jonjonck
02/12/2024 18:28 | That's a very good point and thanks for that, I shall probably have to have the bedroom windows replaced as some of them have blown and one has water in between the glass, frames are ok so hopefully just the sealed units | 2gekko
02/12/2024 12:08 | Good Afternoon Remember humidity readings go up as the air gets cooler. % humidity readings are the percentage of the max moisture the air will hold at a given temperature. Warm air can hold more moisture so if you drop the temperature in your house the amount of moisture could stay the same but the humidity reading goes up. If you heat your house the humidity readings will fall but there is no change to the actual amount of moisture so when it cools down again you go back to the original reading. | jonjonck
01/12/2024 16:31 | Yes it was many moons ago, I'm not sure if donkey rides are still done Humidity is a struggle, I can get it to 55% with heating and dehumidifier on but it's so damp outside at the moment you can't open a window as the number goes up! | 2gekko
