Just so I can understand this right Moulding wants at least £2.50 pence per share according to the Sunday Mail which is a near quid above the current share price, and the share price is falling not rising at the moment and he can veto whether an offer is acceptable.

So that means in pure terms unless he gets an offer which will at least match what he wants and it is rejected the share price could simply fall back again to whatever value the market thinks.

That is the gamble !

So meanwhle the share price is likely to be all over the place even if someone offers £2 a share as it falls below what Moulding wants it means nothing in reality.

Little wonder the share price is falling at the moment that is the risk as well as a consumer crisis as well and the risks involved.

VERY group have put off their IPO while 2023 due to ecomerce IPO.s falling out of favour and seeing thier share prices fall later.

"People who lose money do so because they sell below the price they bought. Why? They pay attention to the share price & not the business. They get scared simply because the share price drops, ignorant of the business, it's valuation & potential valuation generation"

Difference between a trader and an investor!

malta it wasn't that long ago you were saying it was going under a pound and you even bought some at £1.35, what is your agenda or does your opinion change everytime you dip in and out of the market?

It was only a few months ago that people on here were furious that anyone could suggest THG would ever be as low as 140p.

Now getting to 140p is celebrated.

Makes no real difference. I’ll take a 1.40 close and several more hats thrown in the room all day long. We all know this is going north now. Probably a long way

@1licker - totally agree. As many shares as possible will gobbled up at this level. Again plenty will come through after hours as usual.

Won't make a difference at all. Few pence here or there. If bid comes in say 250p, adios amigo!

I guess given the small free float if as much as that can be grabbed at bargain price then makes sense as rest is in instituional hands who let's be nonest will be the ones setting the price not is piddly free float PIs

The small free float value which as we have seen has no control nor influence DOES NOT extrapolate up to the value of the business.. STOP making that stupid mistake!!!!

People keep getting very confused on the small free float value which is so piddly its meaningless vs the amount with matt friends and institutions

Exactly, the board said it significantly undervalues the company, so new offer will be alot higher than 170p.

And we already have a rejected 1.70 bid, this is free money for anyone buying at the moment. There will defo be another bid in the near future. The players are already starting to show their hands.

Suspect any bidders won't want to push the price by buying in the open market at this point. Else it will inflate the share price and drive a bid price that bit higher.

What's the rationale behind candy acquiring what is in reality a small token stake. Gesture of intent to help convince the market his interest is actually real? Again, feels weird that a PI as in toansy can be holding as many shares as these supposedly big boys who are going to stump up 2.5b to take it out entirely. Any ideas? The reason I don't think this is going back to £1 is that the whole point of this from MM is to correct what he feels is a massive injustice in the share price It wouldn't make any sense for him to get his mates to feign bid interest to short term juice the SP, only to then allow the shorters to push it back down again? However this whole take over saga has an amateur feel about it doesn't it?

Jeez been less than 2 days since the RNS came out! Get some perspective.

Market is simply shaking as many out as possible before next leg higher. Transfer from impatient to patient.

3.5 weeks left until 16th June, all sorts will go on. PATIENCE.
