Unfortunately mainstream media have long since been independent. It’s just varying degrees of bias to satisfy a narrative. Any business that generates sales without the need for media advertising will not be popular.

The FT piece seems a fair summary of why the price is still almost 20% below the 'bid', which lets be honest looks more like a name drop to whet the appetite than anything too serious. Led by a THG NED, poor fit, and they still didn't have permission to put out the brief? MM just saw an opportunity to get a real number out there as the candy interest is also so early stage there are no numbers to tout? You do have to hope this does open the flood gates and more declare their hand before mid June. Based on what I've read a candy bid does not look like the prize here perhaps he should focus on getting a deal done at Boom lol.

Simmons is having a heart attack at 3bn and you're dreaming of 30bn, lmao! MM has basically said he's taking this private so seems doubtful there will ever be the chance. Now even I'm focusing on the whoosh to 5.17 if only to keep some kind of realistic anchor here hahaha. This recession could be bigger and longer than ppl think and shopify has been absolutely hammered down. Small baby steps methinks

Kando LSEI don't think there is an obvious ceiling in the long term. It'll take time to get there, probably 3-5 years, but this will head back towards ATHs of 830p. Beyond that, with some fair weather sailing in a generous bull market where growth stocks are vogue again (and it has the liquidity to survive even a multi-year bear market in the meantime), if this keeps doubling its revenue every 3 years, then there's no reason it can't garner a multiple similar to what Shopify managed last year. $200bn mcap on $4.5bn revenues. THG is as good or better a proposition. A market cap of 30bn here would be but a fraction of that, but would not be unimaginable against revenues of say, 8bn. 30bn would take this share over £20. That may all be many years away, if it ever gets there, but it'll be valued more favourably one day. They just need to keep it out of private equity hands while market sentiment is climbing its way out of this trough (both macro sentiment and the recent negative sentiment directed uniquely towards THG)

Does anyone else on here think that The Times article has a unnerving resentment in the way it describes the tabled offers from the companies involved have no experience of buying such big companies like THG? I hate The Times with a passion!

Ok bigt, how do you explain this????

hxxps://www.retailgazette.co.uk/blog/2018/09/hut-group-rejected-3-9bn-takeover-bids-continues-aggressive-growth/

Quarter of the size by revenue, maybe 1/10th size by other metrics, but weirdly was worth 285p back in 2018 (Thats Twenty Eighteen)!

Also dont forget the £900m+ acquisition since IPO. Since 2018 must be alot more than £900m.

£530m in cash.

Bullet point answers would be good, no waffling??

Jeez why am I wasting my time 🤔🤔🤔
