Are you factoring in a forward recession?

They could quite easily say that lookimg forward into 2022, will only be 10% growth in sales and with a same EBITDA of 2021, my guess being £185m.
Like you say, we gotta wait and see.
So far growth across the board has been well into double digits, so let's see.

2021 is sadly too far in the rear view mirror.
Its Q1 2022 and outlook rest of 2022 that will now move the price up or down.
I also suspect it will also be too early for the strategy update as chairman has only just arrived and he will want a board room clear out first.
Let’s get the results date in the diary first!

A posted the other day here that my guess for EBITDA for 2021 will be £185m.
That would be good and just below the 9% on £2.1bn? of sales.

Have to wait and see I guess.
But it's not like the share price is 700p, 600p, 500p, 400p, 300p, 200p or even 100p currently.
Happy to buy/hold around these levels.

The market is waiting for the Q1 update attached to the FY21 Finals.
I don’t expect we will get any consistent move upwards until it’s all out in the open.
Assume Q1 2022 (and revised outlook) won’t make pleasant reading and neither does the market.
Continued uncertainty despite recent announcement of new non exec chairman was inevitable until results.
Let’s see when the results date is confirmed - sometime after Easter?
Hopefully all the Directors will be buying after the results day? - Likelihood of dip on the day??

Th3 city didn't like MMs approach to the float and dual roles.
The business is good.
Now fixing the MM issues is easier than fixing the nature of the buainess.
IMO it will get sorted and when it complies with the city's rules, then it will rise again.
Let's see.

And you say, not a lot coming in for a while?

But hey, if you don't wanna buy, then dont buy.
What companies are you buying at today's prices?

Debs, what is the net debt according to last year's accounts?

You obviously know the figure as you say there is too much of it.

I think the bid rumour was a puff of smoke its now blown away the bidder would have to stump up a lot of debt with nothing coming in for a while so there is too much risk. The company is facing serious headinds of a reduction in peoples income.

If the company was serioulsy undervalued I would have espected more of a rebound but there seems to be no strenght in the rise.

THG (THG); Times writer - Oliver Shah says three companies could be the next targets of takeovers. Also names ASOS (ASC) and BOOHOO (BOO), mentioned below.

Hovered over poly a few times myself but just didn't have the appetite for the risk. Cracking trade for anyone that did though, well done.

Well, today POLY is one of those 10 shares which is motoring.
Once Russia sorted out, the rest hopefully will climb as well, but as I said, am happy to wait for the medium term for decent returns.

Quite agree, it's very hard to sit on your hands and not chase the risers but place your chips across a range of sectors where you see value and sure in time it will flourish.

You gotta be very clever or lucky to short term trade successfully in these markets, I am just taking a medium term (2-4yrs) view on some stocks which I think will recover.
Daily/weekly ups and downs not that relevant to me, I have just chosen an entry point where I think value is there and hopped on.
Hard bit is then sitting on hands, but hey.

The boring share, keeps going down, retail getting shaken out with a continuous decline. The City are going to clean up here.

Don't get me wrong, I don't hold a huge amount of these, most are boring safe shares, but in my 'could do better' section are these (THG), BOO, ASOS, CPI, STX, POLY, EVR, COST, BAB, WG.
All of which could be 3x to 6x baggers IMO.
Only takes a couple of those to do well and the rest will be a bonus regardless of how well they do.
Please feel free to hold me to account on these over next couple of years.
