It’s the Q1 results and outlook that counts now - All goods is out.
New nonexec chairman but no bid likely now.
Break up possible but that will now wait for new non exec chairman to settle in.
Price likely to decline into results - they can’t be good.

Refining the strategy and strengthening the management team sounds very diplomatic for a tsunami of hopefully positive change ahead. Clearly he already acted in jettisoning the last NED whose desire to spend more time with her family doesn’t seem to be the case with her other directorships. In addition Allen is a bruiser and wouldn’t be bothering if he didn’t see huge value to his reputation in fixing thg

The Lord will have done his due diligence ..i take this as a positive. No one needs to step into a roll, he must think that it is a solid business and that he can help address and clarify on governance and other issues that will restore shareholder value.

f56,

You are correct Ted Baker has a long standing reputation regardless of some difficulgties and expectred to improve, where as HUT is a new concept with little long standing reputation that I didnt know existed until I noticed one of the biggest faller in the market.

The bid situation seems to have evaporated here and the market is viewing HUT as a hight risk punt and not for widdows and orphans.
