23/1/2006 17:43 | Bylow From memory, I think that six years is allowed in civil matters. But my memory is sometimes unreliable. However, could this matter still be one of the factors depressing the current share price or has the market got it about right? | ![]() shawzie
23/1/2006 16:55 | I am sure that recovery claims by the liquidator are subject to Limitation, as are all civil claims, I just do not know at present what it is, and will try to find out. I would hazard a guess and say 3 years. | bylow
23/1/2006 11:54 | Still hanging over the Company ?. "Prior to the sale of Artisan there were various transactions. One was an agreed management charge of £1.4m. Against all of our expectations, under the new owners Bickerton Construction Limited was placed into liquidation within a few months and this has prompted the liquidator to challenge transactions within that period. We await further communication from the liquidator. We still have no further communication from the liquidator." | ![]() shawzie

22/1/2006 19:40 | with consolidation in the construction industry and with a virtual end to court case/liquidators compensation claim, my guess is that predators will pay up to 10p for the stock and is probably being discussed as we speak behind closed doors...........what other reason is there for the board to have kept on the Molasc when everybody knows he was the clean up merchant for the deano and they probably can't be assed to go thru the replacement procedure when a bid is likely in a few months! | canford cliffs
20/1/2006 21:21 | Well I take my hat off to your patience and get a better understanding why there are indeed calls for a resumption of dividends, especially if the man himself brought the subject up 3 years ago. That's what happens when people like me jump in at the deep end too quickly. You'll have me calling for it now when I'm a bit more established with this company and have accumulated a bit more and agree that I also think it has good prospects, if not even a mini sized bite for a bigger more established builder whose into homes and property, say Bovis. Maybe just a bit too small for the likes of them. | mistertibbs
20/1/2006 19:11 | Well done Gombie, good work. Will continue to keep the faith mistertibbs, more or less ingrained now after seven years. Re-commencement of dividend payments was first mentioned by the present chairman, AGM Sept 03, quote "I recognise that shareholders will look forward to a return to dividend payments and this will happen once firmly established profitability has been achieved." Maybe 'a firmly established profitability' not quite firm enough yet, but we're nearly there and my money's on a return to a dividend payout this year, not least for the reason I mentioned. At 0.15p, the last sanctioned, a payout less than the build/marketing cost of a couple of houses and one that would speak volumes for progress. Meanwhile I continue to accumulate, totally convinced of this company's turnaround under Steven's leadership, confident in the belief that a re-rating when it happens will bring a far more worthy and rewarding valuation. | ![]() addas99
20/1/2006 17:53 | Thank you for that website update. Will take a wee peek later. In response to addas99, yes, there would indeed be a positive reaction to a dividend. As a short time holder of these shares, I admit I did not invest with the intention of seeking an income but to gradually build up my holdings and would, in time, be looking for some kind of return other than capital appreciation. I was just concerned that the main man has stated in recent results about the call for dividends and his reason for not yet recommencing their issue and a call on this message board on the same issue it appears to me just a tiny bit of calling for them will be beneficial but I feel it would actually hold back progress, meantime. As I said in my first comment, keep the faith. | mistertibbs

20/1/2006 11:57 | I sent an email to the CEO yesterday pointing out that the website had not been updated since June and that must give a rather poor impression to anyone looking at it. I received a prompt reply from his PA. It said he was away at present but that I was absolutely correct and the site would be updated in the afternoon. I looked at it later and it had been done. And the PA informed me and I quote 'a complete new website is in an advanced stage of preparation using the services of a leading Investor Relations specialist developer. The old website has served its purpose and having seen the new site in a part developed condition, I am sure it will project a far better image'. | ![]() gombie
20/1/2006 09:45 | mistertibbs, agree wholeheartedly with your view but would add the obvious that dividend payments, after so long an absence, are seen as a return of confidence that present trading levels and future outlook are back on track and as such send the right message to the market. In this light a divi paid could be seen as promotional spend that increases their market cap. | ![]() addas99
20/1/2006 09:05 | I agree with the website comment but why a dividend? Do you not agree with the directors that the money can be better used in organic growth than paying out a divi? Is it not more fruitful in the long term to do this and pay out a divi when the business has grown a bit or are we content to sit on a share price as it is with little or no capital growth and take some cash out meantime?I think we should leave the directors to it for now and concentrate on organic growth rather than looking at the short term. Building is after all, a very cash intensive business, whether its house building or property development. If its the cash you want on a regular basis, there is a whole host of companies out there giving it out, but for the present and near future, I cannot and hope not to see art cave in to what seems to be a bit of shareholder pressure on this subject. As for upward price movement, it will come folks. Just remember CH Bailey, sitting on a lowly share price and rating for years until it was eventually picked up by Investors Chronicle. | mistertibbs
19/1/2006 19:54 | 31/12/2005 Hi Alex, Congratulations on reaching the magic million! I have a suggestion; turn the map in to a poster; I bet you could sell a million of them at £10 each. Just mention that I suggested it! Cheers and best of luck! Looks like he didn't :O( | ![]() niggle

17/1/2006 11:06 | The reason for the sells is absolute boredom and waste of capital tied up in these. We could be waiting until next set of results for movement. | ![]() blueblood
16/1/2006 21:09 | don't know gombie but sells seem above bid price so I expect a slight tick up is due. The sells are being absorbed. It's the spread that's a killer! | mach10

13/1/2006 16:55 | when someone wants it bad enough !! or as stated previously, dividends could start a move. | gizzimodo
13/1/2006 15:02 | this thing needs cpr! it has been flatlining for the best part of two months, ignoring all market fluctuations both up and down. def the spread keeping all an sundry away if you ask me. next move must surely be an upwards re rating. but when!? | ![]() a1canary
06/1/2006 17:25 | Thanx for that considered input Daz! However I too think there is an uplift due. I hope the spread narrows to make these more liquid. That's what's kiilling it at the moment. The MM's are having a laugh on that spread. | mach10
