05/4/2018 21:35 | 1399Peter, I expected the CEO who stepped down on 12 March to complete the job of delivering the final reternal following the success in the KZ Supreme Court. So it was a setback to see him depart. I am hoping that the Board has recognised the need for greater oversight over top management in an environment such as KZ which has its own "unique culture" of business operations. I do hope thst this is a temporary setback because IMO, the key bugbear has been removed (Olisol The focus is clear now and it is production and pricing with the aim of export of oil and gas. The new interim CEO needs guidance on how to manage effectively as a CEO. The Board will have to closely monitor his performance with on site visits to ensure that he implements the objectives of increasing output and negotiating profitable pricing policy and effective distribution. Hopes he has learned from the expetience at MAX and will avoid any pitfalls. I am hoping the Board will be more proactive with the CEO and the CFO and also expect the CFO to be both a innovative finance expert as well as an effective financial controller. Let me repeat, Tethys has the reserves in the ground that far exceed its short term debt. All it needs is to extract the oil and gas efficiently and sell it at a profit and avoid any missteps on the way in a country like KZ. Integrity and hard work should do the trick !. | ![]() hguess16
05/4/2018 20:39 | The departure of the CEO and CFO in quick succession has eroded confidence in Tethys. There must have been valid reasons for the resignations especially following the Supreme Court ruling in Tethys favour which was preceded by resumed production of gas and oil. The level of uncertainty created by the departure of two key management guys will continue to depress the share price until the Board can assure us that this is a temporary setback. I notice that a fair volume of sellers outnumber buyers of the stock even at 2 cents. Chairman Wells and the Board need to reassure the market that they have an effective strategy to increase output and obtain competitive prices for oil and gas output incl a plan to resolve the short term debt burden of $32m. If they can prove that this is a feasible plan, then confidence will return and the share price will recover. Time to act decisively if Tethys is to capitalise on optimising its plan to increase output, prices, profits and cash. We have overcome Olisol at last !. Hopefully no more legal battles to contend with !. The Board and top management should try to prevent any more mishaps. Stricter oversight by the Board through improved onsite monitoring of management performance is vital !. Time for the Board to act decisively and also to show us PI'S that they are being proactive and not reacting to events !. The Board owes a duty to all its shareholders to get the management working more effectively to deliver ! | ![]() hguess16
