26/3/2018 21:35 | I have lost a lot of money in TPL. I have a considerable worthless holding sitting at zero value in my HSBC account. I similarly lost a lot of money in another long term manipulated robbery called Taihua (TAIH). The common thread....my gullibility and an expectation that in certain overseas markets that one can apply the same norms of diligence/research that you can for organisations operating in markets closer to, if not at, home. These two experiences have taught me to be very wary of such similar investments in the future; and whilst I fully accept that my investing decisions are mine alone, I will not go anywhere near anything that a certain poster under the moniker of JT Cod, (whose integrity I do not question), recommends. | ![]() lfdkmp
26/3/2018 21:33 | Yes TI, but when has the law ever bothered these kind of people, they don't play by the rules and are powerful enough to even worry the likes of Putin. So they can pretty well do what they like in their own back yard. This is all conspiracy theory stuff obviously but neither would it surprise me if Tethys haven't had the thumb screw tightened so much that throwing in the towel is now the only sensible thing to do. I suppose we could expel a few Kaz diplomats in retaliation as we've run out of Russian ones | ![]() 1399peter
26/3/2018 21:20 | It is down to the Board, especially Bill Wells to keep us informed. It is a public listed company after all and has been right from the off. Even in the Kaz world the law must be followed based upon the Kaz Supreme Court or you would think so. LOL | ![]() temporarily insane
26/3/2018 21:17 | Well that's another word for it I guess. You also have to consider the McMafia mentality in all of this, as we have just seen in Salisbury, in knows no limits. How do any of us know that the MOB aren't just taking this as they took lots of other businesses in the past. | ![]() 1399peter
26/3/2018 21:04 | Long term manipulated robbery. Each step along the way calculated. Even supported by intelligent and articulate posters, (who could always see the underlying positive rationale). There is a saying that a fool and his money are soon parted. In TPL case it's just taken a bit longer. | ![]() lfdkmp
26/3/2018 20:26 | 1399Peter, I did try and buy some today online and couldnt as the TPL ticker could not be found. TPLH couldnt be found either. | ![]() temporarily insane
26/3/2018 19:49 | Just seen that TI posted that earlier, nothing much happening and why is it showing TSXV. Is this why the last CFO quit | ![]() 1399peter
26/3/2018 17:06 | I dont think that the Brokers are up to date on the new Ticker TPLH yet. | ![]() temporarily insane
26/3/2018 16:56 | I can't trade my shares on Scotia, anyone else having this problem? | armaanb
26/3/2018 15:13 | What is also exasperating is that the downgrade to NEX also means our shares can no longer be held in an ISA. There was always a slim hope that any gains that finally emerged would at least have been tax free! | ![]() fbrj
26/3/2018 13:17 | At least PAM and its founder Wells are still the major shareholders of Tethys despite the trouble and strife that has engulfed the Company. With hindsight, the decision to abandon the LSE and stick with TSX has been poor. Anyway we are where we are and let's hope that this is yet another temporary setback which can be overcome. I continue to believe that if Medgat Kumar had not come in to rescue Tethys with AK as a new and only customer when Olisol pulled the plug in Dec'16, Tethys would have gone under. I have yet to see what added value the two new KZ investors will bring to the Tethys table at this stage !. | ![]() hguess16
26/3/2018 12:26 | Standard Tethys Petroleum.. Maybe they are updating to show the new CEO and CFO from one of the non corrupt investors........... Stranger things have happened especially after 3 years of nothing. | ![]() temporarily insane
26/3/2018 11:57 | Isn't it awesome how Tethys is taking care to keep its shareholders informed of how the move to NEX (CA) will impact them? | ![]() casual47
26/3/2018 11:42 | The corporate website has been down a few days now.... "We're sorry, but something went wrong. If you are the application owner check the logs for more information." | ![]() casual47
26/3/2018 11:37 | Cheers ItchyC. Hguess16...........I TOTALLY AGREE WITH THIS COMMENT......... "IMO, the Board of Tethys has a responsibility to ensure that Tethys continues to develop its oil and gas business and provide the long awaited returns to all its shareholders incl its long suffering PI's."..........Othe | ![]() temporarily insane
25/3/2018 05:31 | Look on the brightside TI, if there is a stock market crash this year, you don't have to worry about getting hammered - being in Tethys means you've already suffered almost a total wipeout already - so for once you're ahead of the game! :-) :-) PS: You should buy into ASCO on the dips! | ![]() itchycrack |
