30/4/2008 09:43 | Indeed. The takeover always came from the wrong side. They certainly look undervalued from customer base size etc. The difficulty is that over 90% of the customer base is probably using old technology and software. In trying to synergise the products you are left with a huge base of customers with nowhere to go... no upgrade path and hugely expensive costs to take them to a place that many do not want to go, just so you can then sell them new developments. It would be interesting to know the penetration of the existing base for ongoing revenue such as upgrades. I believe the take up to be very low which will also have an effect on revenue streams from maintenance. So all you are really left with is organic growth, something TPH have never been traditionally good at and a high service cost to maintain an ever depleting customer base. Still undervalued and certainly a good entry point for a bigger player looking to enter the market. But one wonders how the company can organically grow... ironically something that VIP were incredibly good at. | oilforex
30/4/2008 09:33 | The trouble with so many minnows, is that they try and grow too fast and before the core business is established...hence, the acquisitions put a huge strain on already stretched resources, consequently, they aren't managed properly, costs spiral, sales suffer, and down goes the share price Imo they should try and get to nearer 20m turnover, before even considering another acquisition.....addi | deanroberthunt
30/4/2008 09:29 | DRH, Personally I think it would have been a second unmitaged disaster for the company and shareholders. The problem with these types of business is always trying to synergise the products. Throwing a third base into the mix would have stalled another 2-3 years progress IMHO. It is interesting to see the RNS released to show contract wins and progress. Call me a cynich but the whole experience has made me very sceptical of AIM newsflow. | oilforex

25/4/2008 07:56 | LBO, I think the cummulative pressure should reap some reward in due course, but it is mighty slow....a long wait for shareholders, as the press indicated over a year ago...indeed but the important thing is that we seem to be heading in the right direction, in stark contrast to most AIMers... new contracts, increasing revenue (and hopefully profits).....looking for suitable acquisitions etc.. | deanroberthunt
