Mmm. Is on my watch list as a potential purchase but not much here to excite at the moment. Loss was a bit worse than I expected and placing is a further drag on share price. All they can say is that 2022 is going to be ahead of £32m but will be strongly second half weighted. So almost certainly another loss for H1 and quite possibly for the full year.

Big blocks of sells going through, is this schroders not happy??
Guessing if placing isn't subscribed they won't have enough cash?
If you take away loans plus extensions, they will only have 500k in cash!!

Excellent. Very well handled. A superbly presented report that covers the difficulties experienced during the pandemic. Clearly the new management has used the period to restructure the company and set it on a path to capitalise on the market opportunities ahead. They have been a little lucky with the recent market sell off which sets the offer price at a premium but all investors have been given the same opportunity to take part and avoid dilution. Very refreshing. I would speculate that it should be fairly easy to get the placing away successfully. The timing is just right from a macro perspective and the target raise is peanuts.

Agree. They seem confident on some nice contract awards later this year, we will see. Good to see the Directors taking up the share placement. The opportunity seems big here. The offshore wind part of the business is where they need to focus. Key 12 to 18 month period for them coming up. Lots of new offshore wind farm awards.

When a new CFO comes into a company

IMO and experience a cash raise usually follows

With the results and track record over the last 5 years , previous cash raises , one would think that a cash raise now or soon would have to be at a discount of circa 20%

Pinemartin9 - yes. All my smallcap charts looking fairly similar. I am 100% invested, which is normal for me. Not great at timing my sells or buys. In my 20 odd small cap stocks I have rotated a little towards value, never been much of a growth investor, but my contrarian/turnarounds are getting punished.

General exit of liquidity from UK small cap market at the moment - Herald Investment Trust said this morning that they have removed another net 60m from UK smallcaps - now taken out 270m more than they have ever invested in UK small caps. No wonder it feels like the tide is going out. Mind you - the small end of the nasdaq seems to be no better recently?

I'm not expecting this to reverse in the short term - and plan B is to wait for improving results. Tekmar is a good example. Outlook statement should be good - but the market won't be paying attention to that I expect and it will be another 6 months before we get a set of results that the share price can build upon,

Possibly or leaky results. Pretty much everything I own is down. Very hard to know what to do. Saving grace is that the Russians don't do offshore wind! They're big on oil and gas though. It's indiscriminate at the moment. I have gone to about 20% cash. Would have liked to have been more but got stuck in the headlights a bit. Bear market for a while now. Not time to panic but I can see very little doing well for the near future.

Results 25th February, no mention of a investor presentation yet. They might announce one with results...

The forward statement should look extremely rosy with these large contacts.

I don't think the sell off is because of any careful assessment of anything as subtle as the discount factor.

The main indices are the clue.

Loads of small caps have been hit - its just risk reduction by a few investors imo.
