With the energy security strategy expected to increase offshore wind, new oil and gas licences and reduce the consenting time drastically - will this be of benefit to Tekmar in the medium term, if they can win orders and turn a profit ?

buywell has never thought that after looking at the profits made to date and the scale of the problems

Bet those that took place in the cash raise at 45p as buywell predicted are now a bit miffed --- 40p would have still been a bit rich imo

What has been proved thus far is that trying to protect sea floor cables around the coasts of Britain is a very difficult and complex process

A process which has not yet been perfected

But one which done properly so as to eliminate scour and the undersea rips that take place at certain depths and subsea geographical formations will be very much more expensive than has thus far been charged IMO

Turnover going up at the expense of increased profits in any company is imo high risk and to be done only short term eg to put a competitor out of business

buywell thinks prices for guaranteed engineered protection need to rise significantly or else major shareholders will start to get nervous imo

The best thing Tekmar can do about the share price is demonstrate that it can actually make money out of the business it wins. At the moment it's a loss making business that has just had to raise money to fund it's attempt to return to profitability.

You would think price-sensitivity of contracts wouldn’t be too high up on the buyers agenda given the force behind wind power and TGP should be able to get a decent margin. It must be quite tricky to price though, given the various disruptions we’ve had.

It will be based in the Moroccan region of Guelmim Oued Noun and will cover around 1,500km2 of land to be connected exclusively to the UK via 3,800km sub-sea cables.

The whole industry is going to scale up. TGP should be in a position to take advantage, as long as the management get there sums right...

I suspect any buy now, will be massively rewarded several years down the line...

When is it going to happen for TGP.The share price performance has been pretty miserable to say the least.The market in which it operates seems to be so promising.All we are getting is more and more frustration as time goes on.Is there any hope left,I wonder?

Big plans from the UK government announced next week about the rollout of wind farms.. This is going to be great sector to be involved in over the coming years

You can only imagine that loads of wind farm projects are going to be pushed forward in Europe and USA/ Canada etc. As countries need to become more independent regarding creating there own energy. Surely TGP are going to be in a sweet spot over the coming years...

Who knows. Offshore wind is absolutely booming. It's a big pie and we need to capitalise. Europe has gone crazy, many new tenders and targets announced/accelerated since the Ukrainian war. Let's hope the sale steam at Tekmar have the capability to capitalise.

Wonder if TGP are involved, will we ever know:

BP PLC said Wednesday that it is partnering with Marubeni Corp. in an offshore-wind pact in Japan, and that it will buy a 49% stake in the proposed project.
