Bamboo2 - very understandable. I keep track (among other metrics) of accumulation/distribution days on US indexes and yesterday was technically an accumulation day on the Dow. Weak but it took place nevertheless. Am 100% in cash but looking to cautiously building up exposure if and when the market warrants so. Good luck.

Sumo's results today show the market for Games Developers is still booming. Sumo was operating at a discount to TM17 but has now broadly caught up.

scooper, I use a simple chart based trading system.

This involves chart patterns, upper and lower trendline convergence dates, and historical support and resistance.

The reason I mention the end of the week is that that is when the next potential turn takes place. If this looks promising, based on support levels, the shape of the chart and general market outlook, I will start to buy back.

Will let you know on here.

Yep. I had the same thought. If MMs are only buying 150 shares at a time does that mean they are cautious about the price? Haven't done many trades recently so my fees are about 11 quid a transaction at the moment on HL. Trying to understand your thinking about restarting a position before the weekend, is your rationale to see if the price starts to drop back to buy bit by bit as it reduces?

Hi scooper, didn't realise you were here too.

I had trouble getting an auto quote on 1000 yesterday, so sold some then but in two batches, a 600 and a 400. The difficulty in getting the quote on that amount was ironically what made up my mind to sell the rest.

I will be watching share price closely, and aim to get a position started again as soon as the end of the week.

I tried to reduce me holding for the short term this morning but it would only let me sell in relatively small chunks. Decided to just do one small sale for now.

Just for the record, I have finished letting my trading position go.
Nothing to do with TM17, just wider stock market worries.

Team17 are really courting the Chinese market at the moment. From micky.com.au: "Frantic party cooking game Overcooked 2 has another DLC on its way. The free update will come with what seems to be a Chinese autumn add-on... Overcooked 2 is a gift that keeps on giving, mostly due to their free DLCs. Right now, Team17 devs are teasing what seems to be a Chinese Autumn update." This is out on Oct 1st so they are committed to building a popular franchise for the long-term with the Overcooked games, which are also ready to go for the new Xbox and Playstation consoles.

What I do like with TM17 is the ongoing growth and the seemingly very understated broker forecasts.

Just because it's had a great year doesn't necessarily negate it's continued success in the future.
I think they know that and that's why they finished by saying they would still recommend it as a buy.

Its quite a bizarre illogical article IMHO.

If one wants to anticipate a vaccine one would presumably be far less keen on TM17 than on some obvious post-vaccine recovery stocks such as GRG

P.S. I'm long TM17

Today's Times:

Team17

Shares in the game developer behind the Worms franchise have surged 88 per cent since the turn of the year. Jefferies acknowledges the “lasting benefit” of new recruits during lockdowns, but are apprehensive that Team17’s growth will fall short of expectations in 2021. This year has, after all, set a high bar to clear.

The company acknowledged earlier this month that consumer behaviour is likely to “normalise,221; and told the City that revenues and adjusted profits would come in ahead of expectations. At the time, this column encouraged readers to consider acquiring shares; this recommendation still stands. Buy

"The smartphone killed off the camera, streaming services killed the video store and cloud gaming now threatens the existence of the video game console.

The ability to play games across multiple devices such as smartphones, tablets and TVs through a subscription model is catching the attention of tech groups. Just this week, Microsoft spent $7.5bn to buy creative content studio ZeniMax, while Amazon announced the launch of streaming games service Luna — its answer to Xbox Game Pass and Google Stadia.

Sony released its PlayStation 2 in 2000 and sold a record 155m consoles. The PS4, which it released in 2013, still managed to sell more than 110m units. The Xbox One launched in the same year has sold around 50m units, according to Mirabaud Securities."

New podcast interview titled The Five Games of Debbie Bestwick posted today by GamesIndustry.biz. I've mentioned this site before as a cut above as it previously had a very good in-depth interview with the Golf with Your Friends team. This interview is about 1hr15m so still listening now but the premise is for the guest to tell the story of their first and most recent games and 3 of their choice. Debbie is naturally more at home one to one than talking to a hall full of people so should be interesting...

Cheers Hazl, Blasphemous has had more Steam reviews in the last month than since it was published last year after recently releasing free Spanish voiceovers and new DLC. Crucially 92% of those from the last 30 days were positive. The Spanish developers, Game Kitchen, have just announced that to celebrate the game's first anniversary they are making a professional documentary. This is a great partnership for Team17 and the game will continue to sell well for years.

Good reviews for Going Under so far this week :-) I wrote a quick program to see which Team17 games are the most popular on Twitter... Most followed: 1. Team17 main account (seems obvious but note that Elite Dangerous has twice as many followers as Frontier Developments and for Team17 it means that 72k gamers see all of their messages). 2. Blasphemous 3. The Escapists 4. Overcooked. Average Likes and Average Retweets: 1. Blasphemous 2. Hell Let Loose. What I've seen building is a real interest and love for action-adventure game Blasphemous (with it's unusual setting in 16th/17th century Seville) over the last year so I think the future for that game is exciting and it's one to watch. Hell Let Loose is the 100-player World War 2 first-person shooter game that is available on Early Access and again, it is building a formidable reputation as it grows. Although both of these are published rather than developed by Team17 they don't look like typical Team17 games so that shows a growing boldness in diversification of what will be offered to gamers.

Team17 are going big with their upcoming original IP game The Survivalists. It's being released with online play capability on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC/Steam and interestingly exclusively on mobile on video game subscription service Apple Arcade. I imagine that Apple would have paid pretty well for those exclusive rights. Correct me if I'm wrong but I can't recall other Team17 games being released on mobile platforms before.

Also announced this week was that fan favourite, Blasphemous (their most popular game on social media - more on that soon), is now available on Steam for Mac & Linux.

This show the benefits of Team17's staff expansion with the team helping on enhancements and conversions to alternate platforms and expanding the potential player reach.
