That's right, Hazl. From a fundamental pov, TM17 is a buy the dip story .

Agree except that shares always work to the future ....so soon we will be anticipating
good second half!
So perhaps not neutral for long?

The update is pretty much neutral, the forecasts that I have are for c 15p EPS this year to dec 2020 ?! Which is about 10% higher than last year. No doubt they had a good H1 and those forecasts are there to be beaten, but obviously the ceo not confident enough to upgrade expectations at this stage. (which is what I thought). Given the H2 weighting and absent of upgrades, difficult to see short term catalysts other than sentiment. More lockdown?!

ps.
I should add that personally, I see no reason to sell either. how do you say it, neutral ?!

I thought it was second half weighted anyway?

This is fine I expect a lot of people are busy elsewhere.
Other companies like FDEV dragged their feet for ages at the beginning of the year,I know because was in them for a while.

I'm not saying the update was poor, just not that good. It didn't give me any confidence that the results, when announced, will show significant growth.

TM17 have historically grown much faster than the broker forecasts suggest.

I suspect only Eyeore on a bad day could read this as a precursor to disappointing progress.

Wouldn't say that ,they have had a strong start as stated ,they like most companies reporting are just being overly cautious I believe results will be excellent .

I am very disappointed with this update. Nothing about how this half year compares with h/y 2019, which with only two weeks to go before the end of the half year I find a little disturbing. Team 17 are now well underperforming their peers, share price wise, and this update is, in my opinion, not good.

A very positive update. I am more than happy with that.

Trading update is out: "Team17 , a global games entertainment label, creative partner and developer of independent ("indie") premium video games, provides the following trading update ahead of results for the six months ended 30 June 2020.

The Company has experienced strong sales traction during the period. This good performance has been delivered against the backdrop of the global COVID-19 ("C-19") pandemic and subsequent lockdown. During these unprecedented times the Company has seen above expected demand for its back catalogue, which has outperformed pre C-19 expectations, especially at the height of the lock down during April and May".

I am in for the long term and will ride out the ups and downs. I don't know that any other games developer and publisher has as many games in the pipeline as new games have been regularly announced recently.
Good news is that The Survivalists, a big follow-up to the successful Escapists franchise, has had a first playthrough of the game by a Youtuber on Twitch this week so a release date should be announced soon. Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One.

So in conclusion the best thing to do is to, sell, hold, or buy some more! Only joking guys, your thoughts are much appreciated. I've only a smallish stake here and currently just down a few percent. I must admit I'm rather nervous of the economy, whether or not we get a second wave and think the markets have got rather ahead of themselves. I think I'll just sit tight for now but will definitely be looking to add more here at some stage.

Yes it's just an in between time in the cycle for this company I think but a great time to consider, as later in the year there will be plenty to talk about I'm sure.
That and the general market, will be seen as opportunity perhaps.
The number of shares I have can change so I don't mind either way.
It's a great company, in the right area,in my opinion.

I think the high volume node is at 490 so if we go south of that, 400p should indeed act as support. Personally I like buying either 1) around all time highs or 2) reversals following a pullback in a well defined longer term trend. Since neither of the above are available at the moment, I am biding my time and waiting for a more favourable environment to buy.

On price I would have thought 400p is quite a solid base price. Can't see 500p being the be all and end all and the price dipping to 450p quite possible. Your thoughts on the potential price movement?

Thanks pal - good luck to you as well. I play a different game from yours (market timing is paramount to my approach) but I am aware there are multiple ways on how to make money in this game. So yes - I can certainly see where you are coming from. Cheers.

Good luck and hope u get a nice price for your holding. Personally I'm wary of trying to time the market on these. So instead I'm averaging down as even if it drops another 15 to 20 percent I can see it zipping back up and beyond 600p over the next 18 to 24 months.

Def the right thing - for me - to bail out weeks back. Share price being acting strange for weeks. 500p better hold or it could get uglier from here. For the record - I am looking to get back long if and when share price acts right. Good luck.

weak share price .. could they be working on a placing?
I know there was a placing a few weeks back, but the co. didn't receive any cash.
just thinking aloud.
