o/t, Hi hazl, re $gold, my view is that we have seen a $gold top this year at $2075.

I think DXY is making a bottom approx 92

Clearly the above is to promote the ETF but TM17 gets a mention.

hazl, I reckon that is about it.
Obvs could double bounce, but think a v more likely.
With the bid 640 at the top of the support zone it's a good place to be buying.

We will see I guess.

Was overbought early last week, and price ran out of momentum.

Flag/pennant pattern still intact, but only just, tp reduced to approx 767

Overhead resistance 739
Historical support zone 610-640
50sma 603 and rising

Potential turn looks a cert for 24-25/8/2020

Assuming a low turn, buy like there's no tomorrow!

Agreed Smirk. I'vd never researched a company as much as I have Team17 and, although I do follow them daily, I could back off as I'm so confident they will be worth more in 2 years. Not every game will be a hit but they have an excellent CEO, a talented high-performing team, they learn from mistakes and they attract indie devlopers from around the world while building their own in-house dev skills.

I Bought two lots of these. First at about £5.40 and the remainder at about £6:10. They've lost some value in the past couple of days but I'm not actually bothered about that.
I genuinely believe this company will do very well on a 2/3 or even 5 year view so I'm in for the long run and happy to hold on to them, even if they have another good run over the next 12 months or so I shan't be selling.

The discrepancy, could be many things .

As investors we are used to looking ahead and judging the next hot area.
Perhaps, now it is generally more accepted elsewhere, that gaming is not only all the rage, but is procuring new industries, like e-sports(BLU GFIN) and even being used as an advertising vehicle (BIDS MIRI).

You kind of get the impression that the share price rise is a delayed reaction to the Publishing Agreement announced a moth ago - almost as if analysts had latterly been briefed on its potential. Gaming stocks are in vogue like certain other industry sectors during the pandemic. Better to follow that trend rather than be in more traditional stocks right now.

I am aware of the generic point but there are a lot a subtleties here. Won't highjack any space on the subject as this is a big one but will leave you with smth to ponder on: in April 2019, this company's PE (using tradingview data) was at 50 at a time when it was selling for under 300. Now the PE is only about 15% higher but the share price is about +150% higher! Good luck.

tongosti - the worst shares which have fallen like Icarus have also been those with pe above 40. also Fact not fiction :-)
Anyway I am not arguing against. I think this is a very good share which has huge growth potential.
On balance, I am going to add to my entry level long position. I think the lockdown has been very good for TM17. The point in debate is by much. IMO this fy's eps cannot be as low as 15. How much higher is a question of judgement.

Thanks pal - as you know I have always thought that this business is very, very sound fundamentally. The rest comes down to locating a low risk entry point. Good luck all holders.

The best growth stocks in history started their ascent between the 40-80 PE range. Fact not fiction. Who knows what tm17 will do (or not) but the larger point is that most people regularly miss out on great opportunities due to groupthink.
