05/6/2020 11:39 | Hmm seems to me that someone who 'protest too much'. This is just taking a breather; but behind the scenes, I'm sure everybody is as busy as ever....if not busier with people being stuck at home over the last couple of months! If that doesn't translate into increased profits I don't know what will! | hazl
05/6/2020 10:21 | Overcooked for PC available free on epic games until 11/06/20. | saurish
05/6/2020 09:19 | Debbie has mentioned somewhere golf with friends has done very wellI don't know if quiet is the right commentRemember you can use steam shadow to work out game sales | ronwilkes123
05/6/2020 08:55 | Frontier Developments Trading update on Mon 8th June and we know that will be positive. Team17 have had a quieter start to the year as most releases are H2 but hopefully they have still done well during the lockdown and much of their revenue comes from older games. | w13ken
04/6/2020 12:13 | If h2 is meeting market expectations or less then the share price is going lower. Pe of 45ish would be way too high. It needs to be beating broker expectations to justify its super high rating | ronwilkes123
04/6/2020 11:45 | It's on trading update mate Perception is may spike if there is one but likely there isn't . Market pricing in flat h1 . Lot of pressure on h2 if that's the case | ronwilkes123
04/6/2020 11:42 | Currently at 519p to buy, anyone got any views on how to make an educated guess on how much further these have to drop back? Tempted to start buying again but currently am just below break even. | scooper72

02/6/2020 10:11 | Poor day here so far would expect more buying vol of a trading update is close | ronwilkes123

01/6/2020 12:39 | And the fact everyone who has released so far for the period is ahead in the industrySo tm17 would look odd if they were not | ronwilkes123
01/6/2020 12:29 | I knew I don't make no sense, damn... I knew it It's nothing to worry about long term, my instinct is that we won't get an "ahead" TU in H1, that's all. So I'll wait. H1 is a battle of 2 arguments: 1. the covid-19 stay at home and spend on games story ( v powerful argument) 2. "Revenues in 2020 are expected to be more heavily weighted to H2 compared with 2019 due to the impact of new releases. Release dates will be announced at the time that is best for the games and the business." But like I said, if they do release a TU soon, you know it'll be a good one. The TM17 story remains a "buy the dip" story as far as I'm concerned from a fundamental pov. good luck 2u2 | 2toptrader
01/6/2020 11:18 | From Today's Times: Games industry booms amid lockdown Both investors and players have found some benefits in being forced to stay at home Extracts... "Like players, investors too have sought refuge in video games. The sector has been a rare bright spot on Covid-scarred stock markets. Nintendo’s market value has climbed about 14 per cent to £45 billion since the start of the year, with Activision Blizzard, the American giant behind the Call of Duty franchise and smartphone game Candy Crush Saga, up 18 per cent to £58 billion. Smaller UK-listed developers have fared even better. Shares in Frontier Developments, which publishes Elite Dangerous and Jurassic World Evolution, and Team17, which develops the Worms franchise, have surged by more than 50 per cent. The video games sector is already the largest segment of the entertainment industry, so investors are gambling that the developers, publishers and console makers will continue to prosper after lockdown restrictions are eased. According to forecasts from Newzoo, a research group, games companies will increase their revenues by 9 per cent to $159 billion this year. It is not inevitable that big tech will dominate the games industry. Mr Braben said the “boundaries are blurring” between TV, films and games. “Wind forward five or ten years, I expect there will be a dozen big players in the entertainment space and some of them will not be recognisable today,” the Frontier Development founder said. “Games companies will be among them.” | hawaly
01/6/2020 11:10 | Yes, please get get down off the fence for a couple of minutes and explain why you were there.... You can then get back up without having made any commitments. Good luck. 😎 | hawaly
01/6/2020 10:11 | What are your reasons for sitting on the fence | ronwilkes123
01/6/2020 10:08 | Guys, there is no pattern to trading updates here: in 2019 there was a TU on 18/6/19 because the trading was ahead of expectations but in 2018 the TU was released 18/7/18 ( post H1 period end ) as the trading was in line with market expectations. So, unless trading is materially different to market expectations, we'll most likely get one after H1 period end. Having said that, we could also get a TU any day now and if we do, it will almost certainly be a good one. fwiw I'm still on the fence for now, knowing too well that a TU will propel this much higher. However, I also have my own reasons for sitting on the fence. does it make any bloody sense ?!? ( not sure I understand myself, sometimes) lol. | 2toptrader
30/5/2020 22:54 | Hi Ron, I do a lot of research on Team17 but I can't verify where I got that date from so it may be incorrect. Apologies if that is the case. | w13ken
30/5/2020 11:01 | I don't want to be a pest on here but I note another poster has the trading update at the 8th JuneLast year was the 18th. Has the 8th been confirmed ? | ronwilkes123
30/5/2020 09:42 | 'I've started buying shares in games developer Team17. This represents my first real foray into highly valued growth shares - territory up to now I’d been wary of, preferring instead lowly-valued and income shares. However, with many higher-yielding shares cutting dividends during the Covid-19 crisis, I’ve changed my strategy a bit to try and capture more capital growth. Team17 is the best growth share I've found. In this article, I'll explain why. ' FROM CUBE | hazl
