a) I'd like to buy some more and b) it's the wrong month :))

I tried paying for advfn but stopped it when I found it wasn't really required once I found a decent trading platform.

Advfn keep asking me to pay for this site. i would if the data wasn't often wrong

Wrong XD dates, wrong pay dates, wrong dividend amounts

This could do with a 5% pull back before continuing on up to 200p.

When the Results are posted, open them in a web page and use ctr+F to bring up a search option, type in dividend and use the result to search for every mention of the word - No need to rely on anyone else for detail :))

I cannot believe posters can’t find these things out for themselves, or are they just too lazy?

mark,Four house builders, well done. I've held RDW until recently and regret selling. Perhaps there will be another opportunity? There are a number of good house building companies. Despite Brexit and all the political rhetoric, I think TW. is a good share. Houses and the UK go hand in hand. Anyway looking forward to June 6 and the run up to it.

Wrong thread

On this thread you get your cake and you eat it too. 10% yield and £3 for as long as HTB lasts.

After the election, I doubt it will last very long :)

i hold 4 housebuilders but have no expectation of capital growth - they look like quasi utilities to me. Fairly low growth with an excellent dividend return. TW report recognises they are in a place they can manage well and are reducing their landbank to release capital so, they aren't going for growth. I think they all learned their lesson and they know how fickle the cycle can be so they are trying to set themselves at a volume they hope they can crank out forever.

Would I be paying £3 for them? No chance. i would want 7-8% to hold them given the risks.

From the half year Report dated 31/7/18 it says

Special dividend of GBP350 million (c.10.7p pence per share) to be paid in July 2019

Has there been any indication when that goes ex divi or will it be left until the AGM

on the 25/4.

Thanks,

As much as I like this share, £3 wont come anytime soon. It pays too high of a dividend. For £3 to be realised the div will have to be reduced. I'm happy to take the 10% div (again) and reinvest but £3 will not happen at the same time.

Fundamentals seem irrelevant these days, this company, like many others is and imo will always be bread and butter cash for hedge funds selling it down & depressing the share price until an interest date is imminent at which time they can start a buy back on the cheap.

Only thing I hang on to is that simple fact House Buying is still popular in this country and one of the few ways the government ( especially one that needs all the votes it can get) will keep throwing cash at buyers thus fueling the need for House building.

In case you hadn't noticed these are only in the 180s. The share price cratered, too far, and has since bounced but don't get all excited and the £3 stuff is irrational

Gbh2, As you know I like a bit of banter, it's been getting a bit boring on here since I proved that other Little W----R wrong that was professing doom & gloom & the share price to fall, IMHO if it was not for Brexit these would be nearer £3 now.
