14/9/2016 08:32 | TW right back on its 50 day moving average this morning, which is the buy signal for me. Runwaypaul ... interesting post but seeing as TW has stress tested a 5% return of net assets each and every year against a 30% fall in volumes and 20% fall in house prices then you just might be a smidgeon too optimistic expecting 40p | raffles the gentleman thug
14/9/2016 08:24 | seems that most of the building stocks are slipping again today even though FTSE improving a little !! | ![]() arja
14/9/2016 08:16 | will have to be really patient to get at that price ! ( smile ) . | ![]() arja

13/9/2016 21:09 | The average UK house price has climbed by £17,000 in a year, continuing a "strong" run of growth, according to an official report. The typical property value was around £217,000 in July, marking an 8.3% year-on-year increase, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said. Property values have also increased by £1,000 compared with the previous month. While the 8.3% rate of annual growth is a slowdown compared to a rate of 9.7% recorded in June, it continues "the strong growth seen since the end of 2013", the report said. The average house price in England now stands at £233,000, while in Wales it is £145,000, in Scotland it is £144,000 and in Northern Ireland it is £123,000. | ![]() tlobs2

13/9/2016 11:32 | know the feeling cc2014. . I have taken a chance by buying RIO and S32 on aussie market and a bit concerned and hoping for a strong dow later today . Building stocks have all come off after a bright start but maybe a recovery in afternoon although no sign o it yet ! good luck - thunder here in Bournemouth ! | ![]() arja
13/9/2016 10:02 | You are looking "glass half empty" cc2014. Fed comments yesterday were pretty monumental in the scheme of things and very supportive to market recovery even if we can't see that in the UK. | raffles the gentleman thug
13/9/2016 09:57 | A very frustrating morning. I have a number of trades I was planning to close this morning as I expected a decent rise this morning. FTSE still falling as I write. Waiting for it to break today's downtrend line whenever that will be. | ![]() cc2014
13/9/2016 08:21 | the dam DOW is retreating again and taking UK market with it !! Dow rules and what a pain that is at times ! | ![]() arja
12/9/2016 21:11 | wow - DOW almost recovered all the previous day's loss at one point . Builders should have a bouyant start tomorrow ! | ![]() arja
12/9/2016 16:02 | BWY is certainly a good one to trade as fairly good trading range. maybe TW is better just to hold ! | ![]() arja
12/9/2016 13:46 | I expect to be in profit on today's buys by the end of the week :)) | ![]() gbh2

12/9/2016 13:42 | FTSE down 100 and TW. only down half a percent. Tells you we are in a good trade if ever FTSE finds some balls | ![]() cc2014
12/9/2016 13:00 | CC2014 - dow futures has taken off in last 10 minutes and hope it continues - 18030 is chart resistance. | ![]() arja
12/9/2016 12:01 | Its all a call on Leal Brainard's words at 6.15 cc2014 - but think US market rallies into that meeting myself | raffles the gentleman thug
12/9/2016 11:58 | Dow being called down another 150 from Friday close. I think that's far enough and a bounce is due. Bounce may not kick in until after we have closed. | ![]() cc2014
12/9/2016 11:44 | picking up at the moment but much depends on a dow recovery later I suspect . hard to say yet if the short term downtrend is over but probably 140 is worst case scenario. Let's hope for a dow recovery from it's 17900 chart support . | ![]() arja
12/9/2016 11:41 | Had to buy a few more, I never thought we'd see this level again except on bad news. I could kick myself really, I told myself time and again after the big rises late august the market would cash in, and so they did. | ![]() terminated
12/9/2016 11:17 | jugears - fair enough and it is a sound strategy . I do not watch screen all day but try to look for an opportunity to make money on a volatile day as for exampke when the DOW tanks or rockets and very few stocks do not react to that . I use charts and look to trade if good risk/reward ratio using CFDs as I hate to give the CFD or spreadbet comoany too nuch commission ! I do have a small stake in TW . | ![]() arja
12/9/2016 11:08 | I'm feeling cynical this morning so expect the market to stay down here for as much of the day as the city boys can manage it while they collect their stock cheap. Then in about 3 days time all the upgrades will come flying through | ![]() cc2014 |
