The next time I believe anything a politician says will be the first since I left school..............and that was a long time ago.

gbh2, if we listened to and believed everything the politicians say, we would be as full of sh*t as they are :-/

aspers - I was simply reporting the fact that the data released yesterday (as follows) was bad for this sector:

Halifax HPI m/m actual -0.4% Forecast 0.5%

The market is concerned we are in a bursting housing bubble...London is certainly
Slashing prices and the underlying trend is down

Where would builders be without help to buy and near zero rates?..it's a risk

MRW up again...are we in the wrong bed?
gbh has a good point, things have got to start looking rosy in the next few months, already petrol is coming down...no thanks to the government who still take a very greedy lions share out of the price at the pump!

Gbh......there's no bad news in the sector.......Britain needs more and more houses over the next few years.......it's all hands to the pumps on every building site I visit. Just take a look at BVS results today, boom time with a capital B. This should be well over 130 by now, we all know that!

Yesterday's "bad" news relating to this sector didn't do us any favours, my guess is the government will keep the lid on house prices until nearer the election.

I sometimes struggle to come to terms with the stock market.....TW is a booming buisness in a booming market, will be making record profits for the next few years yet the share price is languishing at these ridiculously low levels......whereas yesterday Morrisons reported a decline in its sales yet the share price rose over 6% in the day!!

Can't go wrong building houses but i'm not sure about the restaurant arm of their business.

I also bought a few with MRW profit but my main purchase was elsewhere, at least until I see some real value here.

Didn't expect to be able to buy this below 118 again for a while........filled my boots again this morning after taking my profits in MRW.... looking good for closing nearer 130 after results next week.

Not a good analogy I'm afraid. I've now got visions of Jimmy Savile + DLT running amok through your corridors!

I'm not feeling well. Think I'm seeing double...triple...quadruple...

homeboy - Stop it, please. I can't take any more ;o)

EDIT - Mind you it appears to be having a rather positive effect on the share price :o)
