The point doesn't need disproving, it simply requires understanding and for that much depends upon whether you're a Glass half full or Half empty person!

The more complex issue is why anyone with such a negative outlook on Home-builders is continuously posting on this thread???

Not what i said.

i refer to your posting history, never is it positive in any way and you only post on TW, not BDEV, PSN, RBS, Lloyds etc, etc.

So you think everything said in the article is not true and a slump would have no effect on builders then

Developers came back to the market in 2012 in anticipation of a 5year up turn as normal 5 year cycle so you can expect this to continue to 2017 before interest rates start to clog the system.

"if gov is to be believed"

I've been around for many many years and never experienced that event!

Housing had a long stagnant period which is now over. Wages will start to rise again if gov is to be believed. Housing is cyclical, but calling a top to the cycle already might be a tad premature. Even if interest rates start to rise mid-2015, it likely will be VERY slowly, and could remain below historical norms for the next 5-10 years.

It's not a question of ' doomongers disappearing'...the fact is the bulls think
We're off to the races the bears think we are in the midst of the biggest housing
Bubble in history based purely on props from boe and hmg and whether this is sustainable.one of them is right....as for supply...as a poster on iii stated..in
Spain demand outstripped supply up to 2008...when the bubble burst there was plenty of supply....same will apply here in the uk

Should be a very good year for the TW. share price IMO. On a forward consensus earnings multiple of 10.5, dropping to 8.1 for 2015. This year is going to be another busy one. I'll have the special divi too ta very muchly.
