Au contraire, it is logical but silly - to go from 44p to 34p in an investing flash on no news and certainly no bad news = BIG OPPORTUNITY to load up

mk, every fierce bear market comes to an end and the resulting bull market that follows always lasts a lot longer.

spenny , the way the market is it makes little sense to be in it for the moment all logic has gone out of it .

JP Morgan Cazenove said investors looking to capitalise on the turnaround in the UK housing market should switch their sights from Wolseley, the builders' merchant which has enjoyed a strong run of late, to builders such as Taylor Wimpey and Persimmon. "Two of the three main markets served by Wolseley (non-residential and infrastructure) are still in decline and they account for around 50 per cent of group revenues," the broker explained, adding that while the UK and US housing markets were showing signs of recovery, the picture in Europe, where the residential market accounts for more than 60 per cent of Wolseley's sales, remains uninspiring.

While the FTSE has fallen 10-15% over the last couple of weeks TW has lost 25%.

That would be okay if we knew that TW bounced back like other stocks but it doesn't.I'm afraid to say I think we are very firmly in the grips of a determind effort by hedge funds and shorters to burn this stock.

You never know, the new government might recognise what's happening and ban the dispicable practise of shorting but I wn't hold my breath. You can almost feel the excitement of the hedgies as they chase this lower every day.

Well, sold some with the hope of buying back lower... that's usually a good signal for a share to go vertical... upwards.

edit: uncanny... even if its only a bit, the direction has indeed changed!

Could somebody let TW know that the FTSE has fought back from it's lows and that the world isn't going to end tomorrow.

I have to admit, getting out might have been a good idea, but I can't see the same issues arising as hammered the price the first time around. Maybe that short-sightenedness will be my undoing.
