BDEV looking to get in profit ;-)))))


Highlights

· For the six months to 30 June 2010 average selling price is expected to
increase by around 15% on the prior year equivalent period (at least 10% for the
full financial year), largely due to mix changes
· The Group is on track to deliver a profit (Note 1) for the second half
(2009: GBP63.5m loss)
· Net private reservations per active site for the IMS period up 4% on the
prior year and up 14% on the first half
· Total forward sales up 32% on prior year at GBP1,073.3m
· Continuing to acquire land at attractive values, with terms agreed on
GBP447.8m of land equating to 12,286 plots since mid 2009
· Net debt as at 30 June 2010 is anticipated to be around GBP500m, below
previous guidance due to the deferral of land payments

Interesting piece by MORGAN STANLEY over on the (BDEV BB.) saying that they like

TAYLOR WIMPEY and BARRATTS .

With Barratts trading statement out tomorrow am we could move north very quickly .

Just to add after the 250k i picked up a further 300k so DYOR .

At least the coalition will put a halt to any change in the planning policies put in place by Labour.

Wheras the Tories may of wanted to overturn some of the large scale green belt developments had they had full control.


Great news for H/Bs and coupled with DOW rally could see 40p by elevenses ;-)







edit: although at time of posting I am being a tad presumptious as to the coalition being sorted by the morning ;-)

No smugness here, I feel sorry for the guy who got repossessed, he had another place next door and was repossessed there, too - clearly overstretched himself. Took quite a hit and I guess they'll chase him for the next 6 years.

Housing market still picking up, surveyors say

The UK's property market is benefiting from its normal spring pick up, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Rics) said.

Its latest monthly survey of 245 members who work as estate agents suggests that prices are still going up.
