We are overpopulated but successive governments seem happy about it. Much of the housing stock is old and decrepit and needs replacing. Most settled folks in this country prefer to own, not rent, a home. Whether you are renting or owning unless you are an outdoor fiend you want bricks and mortar not canvas.
