28/4/2010 19:41 | gcom2.....I wish, topped up today at 6p so 150% today but more to come.....shorts will be desperate to buy back before the increased offer comes in.....I plan to hold out for 20p and think that will be on the cards!! ;-) | ![]() aspers
28/4/2010 19:39 | Ahead of the 29th April interim statement from housebuilder Taylor Wimpey (TW.), Panmure Gordon restated its "hold" and 40p target, given that the group is still held back by its less impressive balance sheet. Taylor Wimpey has succeeded in reducing debt, to 750 million pounds by the end of 2009, and a cautious attitude to land purchases in 2010 will mean that this figure will be reduced further. Still, Taylor Wimpey will be unable to follow its peers in making new purchases, given that "gearing remains at the top end of the sector range". Although market conditions have improved, and will have driven a better performance, the broker still sees better opportunities in other parts of the sector, with both Bovis and Persimmon offering "above-average NAV [net asset value] growth in the short to medium term". Shares in the housebuilder fell 1.13p to 41.42p. | ![]() jibba_jabba

28/4/2010 18:12 | When will the country realise that we are all Europeans now. We are allowed to work anywhere in Europe just as the Europeans are permitted to work here. Immigration policy can only apply to non Europeans. A bigot is defined as a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion. Did GB use an incorrect noun? It is obviously not PC to call someone a bigot; the reality however is many people are; as webshares eludes to. I agree with spenny and webshares, TW has held up well considering the overall market over the last couple of days. | ![]() 1aws
28/4/2010 17:54 | Agreed grax, exactly the sort of questions that need to be asked... about immigration, etc. and getting accused of being a bigot! Browns so far out of touch it's beyond belief! Gonna be good to see the back of him. | thearcticfox
28/4/2010 17:39 | Old GB,he's a diamond isn't he? If prescott had been there they'd have giving her a good kicking so she can count herself lucky! Bloody bigots with their reasonable questions and genuine concerns! | grax
28/4/2010 17:38 | Reason the the tumble at the close - rating agency downgrade of national debt of Spain. | ![]() bobsidian
28/4/2010 17:21 | spenny, i agree i thought we'd be back in the 30's before the update with the way the market has been recently... maybe we have found a new trading range.... well depending if the greece thing gets sorted, oh and we don't have a hung parliament... well might not be on the cards now for Gordon Brown cos he's lost all the votes of the 'bigoted' people - ha | webshares
28/4/2010 17:02 | Don't lose sight that tw. has broken 40p and held it in the face of a couple of awful market days, both in Europe and the US, both of which had nothing to do with the fundamentals of tw. | ![]() spennysimmo
28/4/2010 16:51 | Day traders taking profit and selling out before interim update imo. | ![]() spennysimmo
