Some buying momentum would be nice here now. Morning tree shake done hopefully.

Lots of good news over weekend to reinforce the potential here

I have added as well. The news over the weekend that it may be helpful to people with severe disease has derisked it some more for me.

From above by lead scientist

He said: “We only have three methods really to control the effects of this disease. One is to protect people through vaccination. Another is to intervene with therapies when people get the disease to prevent the worst effects of it.

“The third one is reduce the number of contacts between people in order to reduce the transmission of the disease, and that can only happen through behavioral modification.

Treatment as unlikely to be fair.

Maybe a treatment one day will be the fast key to vaccine

"He is also Associate Director of Research at the Trust and the award is recognition for the transformation of its Respiratory Clinical Trials Unit into a global centre for severe asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) research." That's from the article.

waterloo, if you take a deep global look at reports and research, there seems little chance of finding anything to deal with it in terms of treatment or vaccine. Maybe one variation may work in one mutation type, work in a few. Its about it for now.

Personally i think best chance is the chinese. Frontline and well ahead

Listened to part of Andrew Marr show. Caught the end of some skype interview which was highlighting that even in recovered patients who were never very ill, many are reporting back that things are still far from normal. The expert was saying they need long term follow up but it looked like the virus was doing all sorts of things to the body, even in those that never get seriously unwell. "Issues can be lifelong and debilitating."

The need for some therapeutic defences is fairly clear.

Everyone hit that filter button. Please !

Agreed. Interferon treatment is looking more and more like it will be a great defence to viral damage in the lungs. Covid et al.

Ha ha!I just decided to check this Dr's background. Safe to say it looks like he knows his stuff... ? (he's an expert on COPD and other similar disorders) https://www.bradfordresearch.nhs.uk/our-research-teams/respiratory-research-team/dinesh-saralaya/So when he says it works, it's unlikely it's a throwaway comment...
