The desperate ones are those who think only a little cap can produce the percentage gains if a treatment is found. And they are backing a horse, that if fails, its basically the end of them

Smart money is looking to reduce risk for same gains: This is done by looking at what else a company has if a good treatment is not found

Examples:

Gilead Sciences.. if fail? Stock most likely stays up trending anyway.

A simple example of getting mugged in AIM, or taking the smart, risk adverse bet but rewards probably same.

You are basically going all or nothing in a pet poodle, when the same bet is available, and probably a decent return down the road regardless

Maybe. But you maybe underestimating the research of many investors who create the stock market sentiment.
No doubt a lot are in for the Covid play. But I’m sure many see the bigger picture too.

1. Its not sentiment - its a punt on circumstances

2, You are underestimating the market re after a punt is made

3. Bigger picture - few see it hence a punt

4. Smart money was in to take advantage of punters. The bigger picture for those movers, is far different to retail

It is perfectly possible that both the Covid studies will be negative and the COPD study positive or any combination inbetween. And don't forget the LOXL2 inhibitors where a licensing deal(s) by Pharmaxis could come at any time (SNG get 17% of any payments). This is far from a binary play.....

Yes I acknowledged I was wrong with June because they took much longer than I expected to recruit the last few patients. I took the fact that some of the sites closed to mean that recruitment had finished but clearly it hadn't.

So apologies if I inadvertently mislead people.

I note that in that study they administered the drug SC as indicated for MS (not IV as used by Faron for ADS).


SC administration will deliver the drug to the blood capillary system (rather than the blood venous system) which will result in some unwanted distribution to adjacent tissues around the injection site prior to entering the main vascular system, so intuitively IV should be a better route of administration (compared to SC) for administration to the lungs (where the drug is required), so had the interferon beta been administered via the IV route the outcome may have been even better.

Given that inhaled administration should be better than IV which should be better than SC this is certainly encouraging for SNG001 in the COVID studies.

On govs own statistics, we are effectively easing lockdown, on numbers that are probably quadruple, what put us in lock-down

They are probably hoping the worst affected are dead - and into herd immunity we go, with the hope that 'statistics' are capped by past rates

Friends that are there send me daily pics of the processes and rules etc

Truly impressive. And a public that are not thick as two planks, abiding by it to serve the general purpose of the greater whole

you get an app and on entering shops, cleansing gate, scan into shop - live data for shops checking numbers in it. Even some have auto close doors when data shows shop is at distancing limit

robots roam the shops scanning that you have face mask on

Truly impressive, as are the stats
