That's ridiculous, why would you be bothered about giving up smoking if you had coronavirus?

ANYONE FOR A CIGGY?

French hospital will test Nicotine patch on patients with covid 19..

Does Nicotine Protect Against Covid? This is the very serious hypothesis of a Pitié-Salpêtrière team and a world renowned neurobiologist. It should soon be the subject of a clinical study: nicotinic patches will be administered to patients and caregivers to measure the effects.

Too young.

The modern trend of getting young inexperienced people in power is stupid beyond words.

There is no doubt that SNG001 is one of the best hopes for a treatment in the very short term. And it's coming from a little UK company valued at less than £100 million. Madness....

The health secretary looks dangerously lost to me. Pressure got to him now saying anything.

Totally agree- SNG is going to be a huge winner as it's already deemed safe to use

That report on Hydroxychloroquine is interesting. You are more likely to die if you take it rather than stay on standard care! It is Donald Trump's game changer treatment.

People in the UK are on HC in the Recovery Trial. I would refuse if I was offered it.

The field of possible treatments is narrowing. The potential importance of SNG is increasing.

Interferon beta Edit
UK biotech firm Synairgen started conducting trials on IFN-β, a drug that was originally developed to treat COPD.[10] IFN-β will be included in the international Solidarity Trial in combination with the HIV drugs Lopinavir and Ritonavir.[30]

The company's drug has "enormous" market potential, Finncap analyst Mark Brewer wrote in a research report. Brewer noted that the drug has previously proved beneficial in vitro -- in tests conducted outside of the human body -- against other coronaviruses, including Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) and severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS). The analyst's 120 pence price target implies the stock could almost double again

As most people suspected, all late reported trades today are classed as ‘buys’, but from yesterday.

This sounds very positive from our CEO earlier in a email....

"I am buried in work, very operational at the moment, things you'd most want me/us to be concentrating on"

You are on probation for that post pending what you post in future. Yes it may be months away but I expect expedited conditional approval if the results are good.

Just IMHO of course...

oohroger,
we know, thats y the majority have said be patient to some of our exuberant fellow investee's
Applies to all new potential therapies
Plus your remark suggests we should not look for solutions and test them before releasing for general use

Guess we should go back to leaches (which have some very good anticoagulant effects, if the microthrombosis theories are to be believed
