Mildly concerned that this has a couple more weeks to drift as Nobby says results won't be known for a while. Small holder by the way.

Washbear, absolutely spot on. I do not hold Vitec now but have done in the past and it was very good to me hence the moniker. Very astute of you to put 2 and 2 together and come up with 4!!

VitecWhat you say reminds me of several Packets of wisdom"Leave enough profit for the next man"By the way are you a holder of your namesake The Vitec Company? Not a bad outfit and a UK manufacturer and we need more of those dont we ?!

See my post earlier (info from SNG website ), that patients with COPD and exacerbations caused by winter viruses are the 2nd most likely hosp. unplanned admissions in England.......presumably they get the flu jab (vaccine) already.....

so even with a CV19 vaccine, anything that is an early intervention ( like SNG could be ) is still massive IMO

No rush then...end if next year really!Who said a vaccine takes too long

A vaccine for covid may never happen (more risks than benefits)
Proven Vaccines are worth it, and yes it is 'hit and miss'
If you have a vaccine then there is no guarantee you will not get the disease, but it is likely that it will be less severe (for eg when lots of people are vaccinated, some will benefit - who? we dont know)

Just some factoids during this long day...

Have read an interview with Bill Gates over the weekend.

They want at least 8 solutions against the virus. 8! To be ready end of next year!!So no doubt about SNG if other companies are on the right track as well.

In my uneducated eyes a vaccine is a waste of time. It takes just too long to produce. Mass testing is imo is the best solution.Ps...I have a flu jab every year....but it appears that even that is hit and miss due to it mutations

Your holdings in microbiome stocks doing well this morning Nobby! Opti up 8% and SBTX (skin microbiome) up almost 30%! Looking to add a few more here. Seems good support around 60p which will hopefully be the higher low on the chart.

BMNSA, do you know anything about TERN? Have you ever researched it? I doubt it.

cambradjones, you cannot have it both ways. This will find its level in due course. You need to be patient. Flipping between shares always has danger as you will always mistime. I have been a professional trader for 30 plus years and I have only ever got out of a share at the very top. Twice out of 100 of thousands of trades.

Just been analysing my SNG trades and I have ended up with 20,000 shares at a cost of £175 including dealing charges.

I will continue to trade a few thou as and when.

Rem - I got into SNG as it was a small holding in Guinness AIM EIS which also holds

FARN
GDR
AVCT
EVG
C4XD

So good exposure to the area

From lse board just now..

I have just been on the phone for 40 minutes with a pre-emninent physician talking about the situation are in. We didn't talk specifically about Synairgen for long but I will share the most relevant points. I won't name the physician as I don't think she would want to be named. It was a fascinating call and has made me very confident that the positive results expected from Synairgen will have a quick and dramatic effect on its usage.

• Urgent Public Health Trial is very significant…it is a function of wanting to get the results as quickly as possible in order to administer if/when it works. Only treatments with a genuine possibility in the eyes of the NHS are put into an urgent trial.
• This isn’t going away quickly – we will need treatments for these types of viruses for years…not just until a vaccine is found. This will not be the last virus and there may well be other strains or mutations of this virus.
• Logistics of vaccine is huge….finding a vaccine is important but the huge task of manufacture and distribution is not to be under-estimated.
• There will be many solutions/treatments….just because one treatment may be positive doesn’t mean that is the silver bullet…there will be many products (like Synairgen) that will be used by the medical profession
• This is not a 1 year issue…this is a 5 year change. It’s all about science now. Where as previously the medical profession was resistant to new tech in medicine that has now changed forever…even for the ‘old school’ physicians

That is why I sold ncyt and GDR for this.. Far higher potential with a broader range of application. If successful of course...

Nobby, I've been in & out of small Bio start ups for years, my first ever was Phytopharm in at 50p sold at 100p, then 500p then 1700p the share price tanked and the company disappeared. Many of my friends were the Buy and hold forever types, these days they're like myself, a long term punt is a few weeks :)

Wish you Luck, I may return but unlikely.

The reality is we may never get a vaccine. No vaccine against any Coronavirus has been made successfully yet so not sure why this one should be different....
