Ex div today, always going to be a 5p drop from the start. Slp is still the safest play on PGM which will bounce at some point. I can’t time it so happy to have a core holding here with capability to add/ trim on the edges and pick up the yield.

“They’re barely making money at the moment”

They are a processing plant without the huge costs of a mining operation with AISC running at $830 per ounce and likely to improve later in the year. £1.8m profit in the 1st quarter with increased closing cash balance of $127m included in current MCAP of £205m .. it is most certainly profitable and very cash generative. Think what is going in in actual PGM miners .. .they must be close to calling it a day in some of their mines. Hang in there until there is supply issues and the price rockets.

Fortunately they are supported by a strong and increased cash balance while we await PGM price recovery and development of the new ventures. The cash pile has increased during the quarter despite the lower PGM prices and healthy dividend payments.

"The Group maintains strong cash reserves, which increased 2% in the Quarter"

They're barely making money at the moment. We all know how profitable these operations can be, but right now it's at the mercy of commodity price recoveries and the new ventures

Rhodium has dropped back today so it's not a good day to release results in that respect. Nothing wrong with the results imho as others have commented and a play on the PGM price recovering from lows as we go forwards. Highly geared.

Rhodium 4,300 (USD/t oz.)

Good thing from the PGM price drop is they have recovery rates firmly in their sights to increase production as an offset . When PGM prices recover then there will be a double benefit and the figures will be excellent

Good results, good future forecasts, good dividend, poor PGM prices. If you believe the price of these metals will rise with increased demand then it's a steal (not steel!) at these prices.

This company have a great BOD, however than cannot control the price of PGM. It's a pure commodity play, hence why the management are diversifying. As soon as PGM prices start rising the share price will follow. It's a HOLD and buy dips for me.
