03/8/2023 10:39 | I hope that you are correct saltraider as I own nearly 1% of this company and I am currently showing a significant loss as I have only been a shareholder in this company for the last eighteen months after reading articles in the Investors Chronicle etc. | sheffieldowls
03/8/2023 10:17 | Over just a few years, I'm up 250% in the value of my holding ... and my dividend income has added up to about 125% of my purchase costs. Looking ahead, minerals are very likely to be in short supply. There are no certainties in this life but I've done very well from SLP so far just sitting on my hands doing nothing. That's still my plan. | saltraider
03/8/2023 10:12 | But would you short now RCT? | wsm812
03/8/2023 09:38 | It's down 30% in 2023, I think the bears know the risk here! | rcturner2
03/8/2023 08:22 | Metal ores are a finite resource (relatively). Demand for them will influenece the price. Demand is currently low, this is exactly the right time to buy. It may go lower, but eventually it will go higher. That's why I hold and will not sell. Most bears here do not understand the risks involved in SLP. | wsm812
03/8/2023 07:51 | There is no doubt that SLP has the appearance of a cheap stock, and that is why Simon Thompson likes it. However, part of the reason it looks cheap is compared to historical figures and the market looks forward. I think a lot of people invested here are anchored to past basket prices and are simply thinking "prices will go up again", without the slightest understanding of the metal markets on which they depend. Most bulls here do not seem to understand the risks involved in SLP. | rcturner2
01/8/2023 10:10 | Brokers target prices are usually unreliable and reactive, changing with sentiment. I presume the movements in target prices will be in relation to the metal price downward movements. Once metal prices turn so will the target prices again, usually after the event.. | haywards26

31/7/2023 08:20 | On sharepad the "Target Price" is now showing up as 109.0p, I think this reflects analysts target price (there's only one analyst covering it) | sdmbot
30/7/2023 23:57 | Cant see anything from Liberia after the 170p reiterate on 21/1/22. | rabiddog
30/7/2023 15:36 | On the London South East board it has been posted that Liberum the company broker has reduced the target price from 170p to 110p can anybody on this board confirm that this is the case? | sheffieldowls
29/7/2023 02:03 | Does he say who it's a target for? Or does he just mean he thinks that maybe it could become one because he thinks it's cheap? | zangdook
28/7/2023 15:41 | Sylvania's 10% yield could make it London's lowest-rated stock The platinum producer trades on a cash-adjusted PE ratio of 3 and is also a takeover target May 16, 2023 By Simon Thompson Takeover target? | justiceforthemany
28/7/2023 11:21 | Yeah, fair point. Maybe I was stating the obvious. A cash adjusted p/e of 8 isn't great value, is what I'm trying to say | leopoldalcox
28/7/2023 10:19 | Pmsl .. if Ihave a lot of money then I might be rich …if I don’t I think I might be poor 🤣🤣 To add a more serious slant on the current share price .. MCAP of £187m ; cash in excess of $120m . Profitable and dividend paying yielding more than 10% all whilst PGMs are at a low . Hmm .. takes a lot of working out huh ? I wonder how much value is sitting in those vast tailings reserves and remind me .. what is the AISC on production from these tailings ? | kennyp52
28/7/2023 10:09 | what insightful posts Leo, thank you so much | farmers son
28/7/2023 01:43 | Basically I think if the metals prices increase then this will probably be a fantastic buy. Iff they don't then I don't think it's not worth the price. And don't know how the metals prices will move | leopoldalcox
28/7/2023 01:37 | No problem adejuk. Sincerely best of luck to holders. I agree massive upside potential, but right now I'm not sure the direction of the share price. Understand the bull thesis, I'm just not confident to buy now. But that's just my view | leopoldalcox
27/7/2023 15:26 | leo maybe you are concerned with a chimera it's a given that commodities will improve from here 60p is the support 120 is the medium term upside what is the problem? | adejuk
27/7/2023 14:27 | One concern I have is about which months are they using for the basket price: "Revenue (4E) for the quarter decreased by 13% to $21.8 million (Q3: $25.0 million) impacted by the 18% decrease in the basket price recorded in June and applied to calculate revenue for ounces produced and delivered in the quarter. These deliveries are invoiced in the following quarter and revenue will be adjusted in the month of invoice. The average 4E gross basket price for the quarter was $1,581/ounce against $1,932/ounce in Q3, impacted mainly by the drop in rhodium and palladium prices." Does this mean that the basket price has further to go down for the next quarter? Is there some kind of monthly delay on the basket price used for each quarter? Or is it directly the basket price in that quarter that is used (which makes sense). Ta. | dougmachin
27/7/2023 13:02 | I'm happy to miss a 5% rise. I've missed out on plenty! Agree that there is major upside from here if metals prices improve. But I also see downside if they don't. Happy to wait and see | leopoldalcox
27/7/2023 11:38 | Taxes were $15.4m last Q4 report. | slopsjon2
27/7/2023 10:41 | Yes, indeed, which is slightly surprising as the tax liability at the half year was only $2.2m and they can't have accrued more than $4m in H2. | stemis
27/7/2023 10:32 | Also $13.7m in taxes. | slopsjon2 |
