03/9/2023 15:46 | I like to see crazy prices at close. Most of my buying (and selling) is through limit orders and I usually have a few in at crazy prices. Sometimes they trigger. | 1knocker
03/9/2023 15:05 | Been looking into SLP this weekend, but can't find the next ex div date. Has that been announced yet? if so, what is it please? | snurkle1
01/9/2023 21:45 | Master investor article this evening bring some hope that this shares potential will be realised! https://masterinvest | devilsprofessor
01/9/2023 16:12 | It was only 1000 shares and just slightly below the bid so not of any great significance. | bountyhunter
31/8/2023 16:57 | An insanely low closing UT there. | justiceforthemany
31/8/2023 14:27 | It’s a resource bear market at the moment not much significant is likely to change till that shifts. The good thing about SLP is that management are very investor friendly unlike a lot of others. The yield at the moment is excellent and pretty sure it’ll continue to be so. | rabiddog
31/8/2023 13:40 | cordwainer30 Aug '23 - 18:55 - 8200 of 8201 I'd agree. The same happens when small companies float on valuations based on profits several years down the line. The share price then slides ever lower and lower when the inevitable hiccups and delays occur. Not saying that this is applicable to SLP particularly. Just a thought. | mjneish
30/8/2023 22:11 | Cheers Sh owls. | jackthecat1
30/8/2023 18:55 | Been holding SLP a long time but I'm sceptical about Edison's valuation upgrade because I don't think it's a realistic target price in the short to medium term, whereby a short-sighted market will only perceive weaker bottom line estimates as also illustrated in the report and keep the PE ratio suppressed. I might be reflecting pessimism about the UK listing too. Just my initial quick take from memory of skimming through the report this morning, so feel free to correct me. | cordwainer
30/8/2023 14:58 | Will soon be in the 70-80p again | baldrick1
30/8/2023 14:40 | I have no idea. But imho I expect.a litle reduced total div, but keeping present and future divi in a sensible range, depending on the year for the next few years. And no more.meaningful buy backs if the year is not extraordinary. | kaos3
30/8/2023 12:53 | kaos3 Are you expecting a maintained total dividend for this year ie 10.25p so to match last years total dividend of 10.25p Is that what you mean by the present dividend level? | sheffieldowls
30/8/2023 10:53 | Lots of cash will be needed for the JV and operational improvements as planned. some for the present divi level and some as a cushion. Eg cash distribution done for some time imho | kaos3
30/8/2023 10:14 | Plat nearing $1000 once again | wsm812
30/8/2023 10:11 | jackthecat1 My question regarding the share buy backs was sent for Jaco to answer at the AGM on September 7th so I expect an answer then about this matter. | sheffieldowls
30/8/2023 10:07 | I am not sure that would be the case because of the significant amount of cash that they have on their balance sheet. I believe that a significant number of recent shareholders were attracted to invest in the company because of the high yield. In my opinion paying a higher dividend than this years results would justify and using some cash to fund it would send a message to the market that the current situation is only temporary and profits will improve in the not too distant future. | sheffieldowls
30/8/2023 08:57 | If they were to pay a dividend higher than this year's results justified, surely the market would punish them severely on the ex date, so you'd be worse off! | scubadiverr
30/8/2023 08:49 | I don't know if you listened to Jaco at last years AGM with shareholders as the first question he answered was from myself and it was in relation to further share buy backs.Jaco told the meeting that he was well aware that some shareholders like buy backs while others do not. I am therefore wondering if the company is going to use some of its cash to pay a higher final dividend than this years results would justify. WAWAW. | sheffieldowls
29/8/2023 22:23 | Worth asking SheffieldO (by the way I’m in Bents Green, wawaw). Suspect the Thaba JV will need a more a fair bit of cash so they are likely to be evaluating that actively. Until they’ve bottomed that with a contingency they are likely to be risk averse on share purchases | rabiddog
29/8/2023 17:19 | I have E mailed the company asking at the AGM why they have not purchased any shares for cancellation in the last two months. | sheffieldowls
29/8/2023 15:44 | not enough buying volume & what's happened to the share buy backs ffs??. Can someone email the Co and ask. Its sends out the wrong signals. Get buying SLP FFS!! | jackthecat1
29/8/2023 15:41 | and yet we are duking about at 66p odds. Just plain daft. Should be at 100p as a bench mark all day long | jackthecat1
29/8/2023 13:56 | Almost exactly 100% increase on today's sp! | wsm812 |
