15/11/2017 21:58 | Sorry guys my first post to this board and a duff one. I had failed to read all the 15/11/2017 postings to the board - one of which from Longshanks answers my main question. I'd got so used to the board being dead - I hadn't looked today! Are there any posters from the board going to the AGM in less than two week's time - I feel there are a fair few questions that need posing if answers are not initially forthcoming in the board's presentation.I would appreciate a good write up as I cannot attend. The main question I feel is what progress has been made in the installation of the first OEM production line. To me achieving production capability, certificated to the requisite standards, is wholly within Management's gift. They have the funding they asked for, they have the plans - they must deliver! Once capability is proven they have some leverage if several customers get close to placing orders together that exceed the OEM production line output volume. A nice problem for SCE to have. I appreciate that the exact dates when OEMs place orders is outside the direct control of SCE management. Two further questions:- Did anything ever come of discussions with the aerospace Company about an "offset" to cover the delay in placing the original contract? When will OEM3 allow the race car contract to be publically announced. It will be to supply brake discs in 2018 after all? FS | fillspectre
15/11/2017 21:43 | Is anyone else surprised by the VDA 6.3 audit slipping back to November 2018? When I first saw the year I thought it was a typo - but the same date from an RNS has been repeated in the annual report. Maybe I haven't been paying proper attention but I was believing (possibly having got the wrong impression) that acquisition of VDA 6.3 certification was very much on 2017's list of objectives. Do you think that factory installation of the first OEM production line will have slowed so completion of it is running in parallel with the VDA 6.3 certification timeline? Surface Transforms haven't published any more photos of furnaces being installed. FS | fillspectre
15/11/2017 14:37 | 2018 should have read 2017. | longshanks
15/11/2017 13:58 | Hi Longshanks. Spelling mistake as in "slight" or 2018? | bdaonion
15/11/2017 13:20 | I did check that with David Bundred and he told me it was a spelling mistake. | longshanks
15/11/2017 13:18 | It's unclear as to timing of VDA 6.3 as the Placing indicated September 2017, but in the Preliminary results it says "prior to the next audit in November 2018, this date being a slight delay from previously notified September- reflecting diary availability from the customers audit team". Seems a long slight delay. | bdaonion
15/11/2017 12:07 | Thank you for the information. Held for a long time. | spookies
15/11/2017 10:52 | I wouldn't be surprised to see the VDA 6.3 audit further delayed. It was delayed in September and involves different people to those involved in the regular quarterly meetings. They are dependent on the availability of the OEM 3 audit team and my experience of such groups is that they very much work to their own agendas. I don't think a further delay would have a material impact on when OEM 3 supply begins, but it is one of those essential milestones for nomination.Let's hope I am wrong therefore and we get a good positive update both on current trading and the positioning of the business for a step change in production next year. | longshanks
15/11/2017 10:18 | The Audit for VDA 6.3 is some time this month, it is the last piece of certification required for mass production in the German motor industry so hopefully VDA 6.3 granted followed by OEM contract before Christmas. | quemaster
15/11/2017 08:32 | Half way through November and very quiet. Price drifting on no news. Should we expect to hear something very soon? | spookies
01/11/2017 19:23 | Thanks longshanks, last year I was a little to patient onto to find that my request for an EIS had completely slipped the net. I'll wait a little longer and have a word with Dave Allen if needs be. | goldman
01/11/2017 13:41 | Goldman, all my purchases for the fund raise went through my ISA this time round so I am not expecting any certification. They do usually take some time so I wouldn't worry yet. But if you are then I would suggest contacting The company direct to get an idea of timelines. | longshanks
31/10/2017 10:47 | It's all very quiet here at the moment. Hopefully that wont be for to much as we should be hearing news about the companies qualification for VDA 6.3 any time soon, hopefully followed by more news regarding the German OEM's. Just out of interest has anyone received their EIS certificates yet? After the previous open offer the issue of certificates didn't quite run as smoothly as it might have or at least not for me and I believe a few others. | goldman
11/10/2017 07:56 | Let us hope someone knows something...... | graham1ty
10/10/2017 23:09 | Very tasty 100,000 buy at 19.4p reported at the end of the day - way above the published 19p offer price. | rivaldo
10/10/2017 15:51 | Gap closed at 19? | toffeeman
10/10/2017 13:05 | Welcome aboard. Hopefully this ship won't end up in Pitcairn. | longshanks
10/10/2017 11:50 | Bought some today | capt bligh
10/10/2017 09:55 | No it wasn't me. I haven't been alone - but the last few days I was trying and failing to fill at 17.25p so I am guessing, but suspect, that Mr or Mrs 57k has been equally frustrated. The trend is ripe for a recovery to a 20 to 22p trading range - but I am increasingly confident too in the medium term prospects. We should see a substantial broker upgrade as and when a significant automotive OEM deal is announced and I do truly believe that this is now a "when not if" situation for the current financial year. Timing of such deals is frustratingly difficult to second guess but the new operating plant is tangible evidence that blocks to the conclusion of these discussions are being progressively cleared. | longshanks
10/10/2017 09:39 | I'm sure you're extremely interesting longshanks :o)) Evidently it wasn't you buying the 57,000 at 18.5p then. | rivaldo
10/10/2017 09:05 | Not too interesting Riv. Just me continuing in my bottom fishing. I am close to my target holding now - but am keen to keep my average below 17p so will wait a while now. | longshanks
10/10/2017 08:53 | Certainly some interesting buying going on - another 45k buy today at 17.4p, and all 11 trades yesterday were buys too. | rivaldo
06/10/2017 08:44 | I have been buying recently. I was hoping to fill up at this discounted price but irritatingly it looks like I am not alone. I bought what look like the last remaining shares at these levels this morning. Nothing available at the offer right now. | longshanks |
