Well, no longer an acquisition , as most people understand the term.

Actually, it looks more like a deferred purchase agreement.

X down (shares issued and shares issued) and (unknown) balance (conditionally) payable over 3 years.

If the appraised value is £ 31m and the downpayment is about £ 5m, at what stage do you think the 'acquisition' will have taken place ?

'It's a mystery'.

I'd be surprised if the auditors allowed consolidation of earnings any time soon.

It is customary to give financial metrics of the company to be "acquired" when raising money. I am sure it is merely an oversight on the part of AZ that such information seems to be missing.
