This will be Marcus's first presentation to shareholders and it would be surprising if a person of his experience and reputation did not bring greater clarity and items for shareholders to chew on.

I don't give a fig whether there is an update on Altentepe this week or not. What I do know is that Marcus Englebrecht is in a different league to Bob Foster & Co. This company has been transformed by this appointment..

For sure the money will be coming from Altentepe soon, when it does the amount may take a few by surprise in a positive way.

Even without news it would be quite enlightening to know how Marcus sees things developing and hearing his plans for the future direction of the company. If there is no news beforehand I would expect him to lay his cards on the table and say precisely what is happening at Altintepe. There needs to be a lot more clarity and more measurable milestones from now on. This will attract new shareholders in droves imho.

okay so looking through the RNS for this year and the Stratex website, it seems they did do some drilling in Djibouti in Q2 on which we have heard nothing, so there is still a chance of some imminent drill results there. Currently the second of the Thani drill campaigns is underway in Egypt, which looks like an extension of work done by Thani Ashanti in previous years. Presumably they see value there to keep plugging at it.

So I would expect some news on Djibouti soon on previously undrilled land and Egypt extension drilling news in a few months.

The JV company owns and runs the mine and collects the money. Bahar gets a contract fee for the actual mining.

Bahar won't pay as they don't hold the money. The JV company holds the money and will make the dividend payments to both Bahar and Stratex.

I guess that limits what Marcus can say next week. No drilling results likely from Thani before the end of the year, Goldstone hobbled by prior director claim, Dalafin dodo. He can only really talk about Altintepe and perhaps hint if he will cut loose some of Bob's poor investments. Be an interesting statement of direction.

I've often wondered if the delays in Djibouti are more to do with graft and bureaucracy than Thani Stratex management. I remember Bob saying it is almost impossible to get anything done in Djibouti. Djibouti is down there with Ethiopia in the sump tank of the corruption indices.

I also see that the drilling rig notice says Thani Stratex, Egypt.
