24/10/2016 10:35 | Once the underlying detail regarding costs has been agreed then Altintepe should become a cash cow for both Stratex and Bahar. The past 2 years has been a tough time for shareholders but it has been worth the frustrating wait because imho the rewards are going to be beyond our expectations. The mine cost $40m to set up and should cost about 10 percent of that amount to close down at the end of its life. In between now and then the mine should produce about 40k oz p.a at an aisc of around $600/oz. The Startex share of profits will start at 20% progressing to 45% when the initial mine construction costs have been recovered. The mine has been in production for a total of almost a year now, including trial production and every production report so far has been favourable. It is incredible that the market cap is still hovering around £10m. It should be at least twice that imho. | charles clore
24/10/2016 10:13 | Nice to have a bit of a buzz about this share now, there is a lot of expectation for a much delayed re-rating. | romeike
24/10/2016 10:10 | Big jump over at Tembo this morning which interestingly puts their market cap at just a couple of million behind ours, figure that out. | exbiz
24/10/2016 09:17 | As someone once famously said, buy the dips! | charles clore
24/10/2016 08:46 | Nowt goes up in straight lines ;-) | soulsauce
24/10/2016 08:44 | clearing out dead wood is healthy before moving to higher ground! | goldenshare888
24/10/2016 08:33 | So somebody sells 300k at 2.03 after the price hit 2.25 to sell??That was pretty clever right? | shortarm
24/10/2016 08:16 | I envisage, much, much higher prices here. :)) | goldenshare888
24/10/2016 08:09 | Big spread and you still can't buy...Don't worry though, some fwit will sell a load soon :-) | shortarm
23/10/2016 19:42 | Off with their heads I say . Never was a fan of these goons and got a lot of stick for saying it . Times they are a. changing | juju44
23/10/2016 19:42 | Oksut and Alt were discovered by the Turkish Geological Survey not Bob and Dalafin and Padora have yielded nothing to date. But of course we all hope that changes. Anyway after holding onto the gains at the end of last week I would hope and expect for further gains this week. | exbiz
23/10/2016 19:13 | That Money was wasted in a severe downturn. Just think what that amount money may have bought, without the need for the good ol' boys getting the toffee hammer dirty | steve1905
23/10/2016 19:08 | What we can say, without fear of contradiction and as Daniel alludes, Bob presided over the frittering of 20 million. The rest of the crew were complicit and should walk. | steve1905
23/10/2016 17:43 | Bob wasnt even a good geologist . All he ever found were holes full of sand , not gold .Still a bit of forelock touching around here | juju44
23/10/2016 17:37 | If Marcus turns it around it will be a stark illustration of the difference between a company being run by a professional businessman rather than a geologist. If he rakes in all the money from Altintepe over the next 3 years and doesn't touch it, then in 2019 the company bank balance will be back to where it was after the Oksut sale in 2012... | danieldruff2
23/10/2016 15:23 | I am convinced that, at last, major shareholders had enough of the old brigade and forced change, there will be more departures for sure. About time! It has been dressed up by Christopher Hall that he knew Marcus Englebrecht etc etc but this is most likely a smokescreen, he was probably imposed by a major shareholder and Bob Foster had to go, Hall will follow. Marcus Englebrecht is highly rated in the City and would not be re-locating to the UK to run Stratex without purpose. These are exciting times, not to mention the fact that Stratex are due to receive a significant cash payment, possibly this month. Whilst we have all laughed and ridiculed the broker notes offering target prices north of 6p, why not now, everything is in place for a significant re-rating given recent events. The 1st presentation is 3rd November news beforehand in my view. | observer007
23/10/2016 14:25 | dd, I think a production update is due soon, however I don't think it "has to come in the next couple of weeks". I guess this might be a good time to try trading in and out of the shares, but that is always a dangerous game. Observer007, a USD 5 million payout for 9 months production would be nice, but I don't think anyone should be counting chickens at this early stage there are just too many variables. Longer term though Altintepe should be much more valuable than the STI market cap. I'd settle for a comprehensive update from the new MD and some grown up guidance about where he thinks he is taking the company. | blobby
23/10/2016 11:24 | This is about to appear on the radar as a large blip quite soon imho. When it does I believe we will see some long awaited added value | charles clore
23/10/2016 08:15 | I also agree with others that Christopher Hall MUST go, bus pass comment was final straw. The new CEO is a proven shareholder value creator. Stratex will soon be a new entity and a worthy investment proposition. | observer007
23/10/2016 08:08 | If what Tadtech says is correct re closure costs and all in sustaining costs (I have no reason to doubt it) Stratex must be due a payment of about $5m for 9 full months production, that will double once Bahar get their $39m back. Current market cap is £10m That is why the shares are moving up IMO. | observer007
23/10/2016 07:26 | I think it's the same bunch of traders who jumped in last time prior to an Altintepe update, which has to come in the next 2 weeks. Then they'll be gone again... | danieldruff2
23/10/2016 01:06 | Smells like insider action. There have been no price sensitive announcements recently. I don't think you can count billing Goldstone. | shoggoth
