Not a suitable subject for and RNS IMO. If there is anything important in the presentation, such as any change in policy or emphasis, then it should be released in advance to the whole market and the detail should go on the website.

On the subject of the website, it needs an update. As an example, this page could do with a look as there is not even a photo of the Chief Exec.

Is any analysis of today's RNS possible? Is it teasing news to come or is it simply stating the fact that the presentation is happening. Do they usually RNS a presentation?

Talking of staying in Turkey, just look at this from MARL today:

HTD-71: 69.6 m @ 62.7 g/t Au + 2.68% Cu from 210m
downhole.

This mineralised zone includes the following subintervals:

210-217m: 7m @ 526 g/t Au + 3.28% Cu ("Ultra high grade zone")

And the share price is... DOWN!

I always said that SULA's Ferrensola project in Sierra Leone would have been a good acquisition for Stratex. It essentially got bought for a song just a few weeks ago. Results this morning look like it's shaping up to be a world class mine.Worth a look now for sure.Regards all.

In my view Bob and Chris Hall have been largely responsible for keeping the company down all these years. Investors will jump at at the first chance they get, if they think that the board of directors aren't ever going to do the right thing to create value for them. And so it has proven to be. Good riddance.

Altintepe can fund Stratex with cash to spare for the next 5 years. What we need to know:
- plan for Goldstone investment ( 2 years max)
- plan for African assets
- where the next 1 million + resource is coming from
- how the cash from Altintepe will be used to deliver value to shareholders
The lifeblood of AIM is a compelling story, regular news and a BOD with credibility based on delivery.
Bob and crew did good things up to 2011; Turkey was a good country to look for the yellow stuff ( as Marl have shown!).
Since then it's been a steep decline in terms of management performance with Africa an unmitigated disaster.
A new broom is now in place; give him 12 months to turn this around and make his mark. 10 months and counting.....

At the Mining Capital conference in May there was absolutely no hint of management change at Stratex but following the investor meetings I attended last week, a number of folks, close to the market, suggested that changes were forced on the company by major shareholders.

The fact Stratex has acquired such a high profile candidate in Marcus Englebrecht would imply those suggestions may be true. I remain convinced that there will be more changes. I think it is time for Christopher Hall to bow out, after all he hinted as much in a recent podcast. We need a clean slate.

The market is starting to re-rate the 'new' company from a very low base of £10m market cap. If one looks at other gold producers their share prices have multiplied many times this year, look at AAZ from 3p to 30p achieved today. In the same time Stratex has barely moved.

I believe new buyers of stock in Stratex, at current levels, can look forward to gains of many multiples in due course. The current share price is simply too low.

Clan - even better that Marcus's presence on the board is able to elicit positive sentiment from tired bull investors, myself included. That's the first wave of improved sentiment and I eagerly await wave 2 when he delivers his message to the new investors out there. The share price has reacted strongly in the realisation that the new man has the potential to turn the company around. The underlying potential value here is mind boggling and I am confident Marcus will unlock it. It has already started.

It is significant that Marcus will be updating the market soon imo Not just because he has demonstrated his mining and financial success but also because Christopher Hall stated on BRR media 1st September that he would be replaced by Marcus in that function.

Christopher Hall also talked about being part of a bus pass generation of Stratex directors looking forward to retirement.

The resignation of Bob and replacement by
Marcus a man of considerable calibre is imo good for Stratex and look forward to the next and future updates.

The price closed at the intraday high. Some encouraging signals being given off here. Next we need trading volume with a positive finish.

Charles, or perhaps the market makers don't have much stock as STI has not seen much trading volume for a while. With little stock in reserve the price will be more volatile and the spread will be larger (as we can see).

With news things should improve, investors and traders will be better able to decide whether to buy or sell, the volume will increase and the spread will tighten.

What I am hoping is that Marcus will give us are some figures that can be used for income projections. Then the tide will really start to turn. I was told a few years ago that Stratex share price would never go to the moon with Bob and Chris at the helm as they are not businessmen and the city boys held it back. Of course, I thought I knew better and bought a shedload at 3 or 4 times todays price. Now I can sense there is anticipation and positive sentiment is returning. The market makers are marking up on low volume which could mean a couple of things; either there is a sizeable buyer in the background or they have got wind of some imminent news that will change the market perception of Stratex in a big way. I cant imagine whta that might be lol

* I've not been a fan of Chris Hall ever. However is it not the responsibility of the Chairman to lead the appointment of any new Chief Exec or if necessary to persuade the old on to step down? How do we know that it was not Chris Hall who has actually done something positive here?

* On volume, Stratex has often seen very high volume trading days in comparison to recently. If anyone wanted to invest £100,000 in the company I doubt that would be a problem in terms of finding stock.

Get rid of Chris Hall Asap Marcus. Regardless, of this thoguh Stratex is hugely undervalued and is worth at least 4-5p now imo.
