14/9/2018 12:46 | Andy I see your posts on Aorotech and Strat Aero (now Remote Monitor) I hold both and feel positive on both. Regarding Strat Aero it is the case that very little of the current business relates to drones, hence yesterdays name change. You make valid points regarding the handicap a drone company faces regarding the costs of a public listing. Hence the dismal decline of Strat Aero's share price under the old management, until it came close to being Bankrupt last year. Yesterday's report I found remarkable for the considerable progress made in restoring the companies financial health. Question - Have you recognized the progress Geocurve and Gyrometric are making, only a small percentage drone related. | nextlink
14/9/2018 08:15 | pilotov, Actually, going back to the Dragon's Den recent episode, where Peter Jones reduced his requested holding percentage to secure a deal, the guy had a really good idea. They have formed a netoprk of 300, I think, licensed drone "pilots" around the UK, and anyone wanting any work requiring a drone can use their site to make contact with their local "pilot". That seems a lot more likely to succeed as a private company than AERO, which has to bear around £300,000 PA listing costs, plus salaries, plus offices etc. etc. IMHO. | andy
11/9/2018 21:18 | plotov, You cynic! We need BRGDennis back to tell us how they're "training the RAF" in drone warfare. | andy
11/9/2018 16:44 | Not just drones? Not even drones... | pilotov
10/9/2018 07:56 | Boxer, But they're not making any money because it's all niche! Look at the last set of accounts! | andy
10/9/2018 07:15 | Not just drones. That is the key | boxerdogz
09/9/2018 22:19 | Kigston, Spot on,they seem to exist to extract more money from shareholders. The AIM listing alone costs around £300K PA, whereas private companies do not have this burden to bear. Anyone watching Dragon's Den tonight will have seen a much better idea for drone hire in the UK, a network of licensed professional drone pilots available to hire for individual projects. | andy
09/9/2018 21:56 | The company hasn't got a ground breaking technology that is widely adopted to generate meaningful revenue. All the sales agreements so far do not cover overheads, ie losses after losses year after year. This is a sad fact of this company and many other companies similar to this one in terms of development of their products and services. So much promise but so little achieved. Concepts are fine but implementation is a different matter. | kingston78
09/9/2018 17:59 | Andy Correct . Understand the risks here | boxerdogz
09/9/2018 10:45 | Boxer, The only problem here is the constant cashburn and issuing of confetti to keep the whole thing going, until the next placing. What they need is to turn a profit, and despite management promising to do so, this remains as elusive as ever. | andy
09/9/2018 10:04 | Added a position last week of 1.7 mil shares. Very much excited by furute prospects of this company mainly through Gyrometrics. Certainly a CM system I can very much relate to having worked on windfarms and Engineering for last 30 years. Exciting prospects | boxerdogz
08/9/2018 10:30 | Gyrometric Systems are launching a new digitisation product at the SMM Ship Technology exhibition in Hamburg- 4th – 7th September. The engines on ships are mounted on rubber bearers to reduce vibration. Over time these bearers sag, and the engine drive is no longer in line with the propeller shaft, wasting energy, and putting additional stress on the coupling. The new product, using Gyrometric’s own Incremental Encoder Technology monitors the centre of rotation of the engine, and sends out a warning if preset movement limits are exceeded, and an alarm if the misalignment threatens damage. Traditionally the engine alignment is checked from time to time by technicians when the ship is in dock. The new method provides a continuous real time output automatically. While initially designed for monitoring ships the system is applicable to any drive where the alignment is critical. Watch the demonstration video. | draft11
07/9/2018 18:35 | Gyrometric will be taking part in the Wind Energy Hamburg event on the 25th-28th Sept. Stand will have live demonstrations of the Gyrometric unique technology. Next Generation Digital Monitoring David Orton, CEO of Gyrometric will be giving a paper to the International Conference on Machine Failure Prevention Technologies on 10th Sept entitled "Non contact measurement of run out and torque in rotating shafts using enhanced function rotary encoders". Spreading the word. Gyrometric Systems are launching a new digitisation product at the SMM Ship Technology exhibition in Hamburg- 4th - 7th September. The new product monitors the alignment of the ship's drive, and sends out a warning if preset limits are exceeded. | draft11

22/8/2018 08:01 | dex, I guess they continue picking up their salaries whilst waiting of course! It's a nice life if you can get it. | andy
22/8/2018 07:02 | "As previously stated, the Directors believe that the Company retains sufficient cash resources to fund the Company's operations beyond the end of this calendar year..." What exactly are the companies operations ? Presumably a 'tea and biscuit' budget while everyone sits around waiting for Christmas ? | dexdringle
21/8/2018 07:42 | May I refer honourable members to my post below, of 2nd August.. | acityboy
