Posted at 14/9/2018 12:46 by nextlink Andy I see your posts on Aorotech and Strat Aero (now Remote Monitor)I hold both and feel positive on both. Regarding Strat Aero it is the case that very little of the current business relates to drones, hence yesterdays name change. You make valid points regarding the handicap a drone company faces regarding the costs of a public listing. Hence the dismal decline of Strat Aero's share price under the old management, until it came close to being Bankrupt last year. Yesterday's report I found remarkable for the considerable progress made in restoring the companies financial health. Question - Have you recognized the progress Geocurve and Gyrometric are making, only a small percentage drone related. |
Posted at 14/9/2018 08:15 by andy pilotov,Actually, going back to the Dragon's Den recent episode, where Peter Jones reduced his requested holding percentage to secure a deal, the guy had a really good idea. They have formed a netoprk of 300, I think, licensed drone "pilots" around the UK, and anyone wanting any work requiring a drone can use their site to make contact with their local "pilot". That seems a lot more likely to succeed as a private company than AERO, which has to bear around £300,000 PA listing costs, plus salaries, plus offices etc. etc. IMHO. |
Posted at 29/6/2018 13:46 by andy acityboyI agree, and drones will be used increasingly in industry, IMO. Sadly I doubt a drone company is worthwhile being listed as a public company, with the first £300,000 profit going in listing and legal fees etc. Not that AERO actually make a profit of course! |
Posted at 29/6/2018 13:19 by acityboy "Jezabel" writes on LSE: Remember those Halcyon days, when the skies were about to be darkened by the clouds of Strat Aero drones covering the UK skies? They were going to deliver parcels, medicines, milk, the post - everything! I think the time has come to accept that it's just not going to happen and that the company has been taken over as a technology investment vehicle, avoiding all start up costs by buying up an otherwise defunct outfit. To that effect, I am sure we can expect fund raising after consolidation, coupled with a company name change to reflect its new business model and prospects. Shame about the drones - they had a futuristic attraction to them. |
Posted at 22/4/2018 17:40 by kemche "Indeed training isn't that what AERO do." In short, no!"Strat Aero plc, an international aerospace company focused on the rapidly emerging Unmanned Aerial Vehicle ('UAV') sector, announces that it has decided to discontinue its training operations following a review of the ongoing funding requirements of this division." |

Posted at 05/2/2017 13:27 by kemche Gold bullion:" was it a case of issuing confetti on a regular basis, the answer is simply no." Errr, I think the answer is a resounding YES! I make that EIGHT fundraisings in the last 23 months - that is an average of once EVERY THREE MONTHS! And that is ignoring the 44m to HS or the final payment to Geocurve owners in yet more confetti! 10/03/2015 07:04 UK Regulatory (RNS & others) Strat Aero PLC Raises GBP660,000 for UAV Opportunities "â€&brvba 15/10/2015 14:03 UK Regulatory (RNS & others) Strat Aero PLC Raised £1.28m to Support Integrated UAV Operations "â€&brvba 11/12/2015 07:00 UK Regulatory (RNS & others) Strat Aero PLC Acquisition of Leading UAV Technology Company "â€&brvba 12/04/2016 07:00 UKREG Strat Aero PLC Issue of Equity "â€&brvba 20/04/2016 09:31 UKREG Strat Aero PLC Issue of Equity & Notice of General Meeting "â€&brvba 25 August 2016 Strat Aero plc ("Strat Aero", the "Company" or the "Group") Issue of Equity and Trading Update Strat Aero plc, an international aerospace company focused on the rapidly emerging Unmanned Aerial Vehicle ("UAV") sector, is pleased to announce that it has successfully raised GBP370,000 (before expenses) by way of a placing ("the Placing") of 74,000,000 new ordinary shares of 0.1p each ("Ordinary Shares") ("Placing Shares") at a price of 0.5p per ordinary share ("Placing Price"). 24 November 2016 Short Term Loan Facility Strat Aero has executed a GBP300,000 six month loan facility with a secured fixed and floating charge with Farina Investments (UK) Ltd at an interest rate of 25% over the six month term. The funds raised will be used for general working capital purposes. "we are now funded with approximately net £360,000 cash reserves," Errr NO! Net cash reserves would imply that the company does not have debts - is that really so????? As at the end of June 2016 they had short term liabilities (payable in less than 12 months) of £1.677M! Add to that the WONGA repayment of £300k PLUS interest and I make that substantially LESS that a net cash position. In fact some may say that it is whopping debt position. "Now this brings me to the current share price. Most of these small AIM company's raise funds in January, unfortunately the board are not what I call market savvy," Unfortunately I disagree with you - I would say that they are so savvy that they have managed to raise funds in MARCH, OCTOBER, TWO IN APRIL, AUGUST, NOVEMBER AND JANUARY. "unhindered by litigation" Are you absolutely, categorically saying that there is no pending litigation???? You are absolutely sure??? "With no litigation, cash reserves completed, further cash from warrants due and a steady income already, I can see this company returning to growth. New contracts in the pipe-line point to near term news flow." Let me rewrite that for you: With further litigation anticipated, cash reserves depleted, further cash from warrants needed and continued losses expected, I can see this company returning to shareholders. No material new contracts in the released RNS point to near term flaws. |
