40p gives a yield of 15% on an estimated 6p divi next time

I wonder what pressure buying will create once the divi is paid on Friday


219m shares x 5p = £10.95m paid out in this divi
Assuming just 10% of shareholders re-invest = £1.095m/40p = 2.74million shares to be purchased on/just after the payment date

I have just stuck my divi in @40.25, if I am wrong and the price falls here  I should still get a 15% yield on this batch, others could get better - good for them I say :-)

Annoyd with myself for adding at 47 and 49 but it will all come out in the wash. The yield here is just too good to ignore but there's nowt so strange as folk.

My guess is it's the annual dividend rather than being quarterly or half-yearly; folks just aren't patient enough to have the next one in July. Plus the company haven't clarified what the issue was and therefore we can only assume they'll not have a similar issue in July.

But the yield is now getting crazily attractive; now 12.5% assuming no increase and in theory only a 8 month wait.

The selling here has been relentless since the ex dividend date. Were so many people in this purely for the dividend ? .. sub 40p already !
