2022 dividends should be better than for 2021. Fingers crossed, 2022 almost closed

Yes. Looks like uptrend is still in place as long as this isn't repeated.

miti, assume you are still here? Should have been a nice divi for you. Trust you are holding as many as poss in ISA/SIPP.
This continues to be a 'boring' stock but, i don't believe it can continue throwing off cash like this ad infinitum and not attract some sort of corporate action at some point but, given concentration of equity amongst a few key holders, I can't see them being interested in any possible offer sub-£1

some here have significantly larger positions than that 1knocker and can assure you have similar thoughts.
Had a turn-up with WEN today and diverted some of the gains here.

In April this year I dipped a (very) small toe in the Steppe water with a purchase of 5000 at 27.9. Now it is comfortably north of 40, and I have received a £250 dividend.

At the time I wondered if I was catching a falling knife. I think I came upon the company through a tip on another ADVFN BB, not usually a path to riches.

Now I am regretting that I invested only about £1400, rather than my usual £5000 for a first bite at a small obscure stock (a figure based ion the calculation that if one is not £5000 confident, steer clear). Probably I am the only person on this board hoping for a big pull back! That is ungrateful. I should be grateful that I made any purchase at all at that price, and contrary to my usual investing 'rules': I might so easily have missed out altogether.

I was credited with my City of London IT dividend today, 5 days late. HL claimed that it is paid to them by cheque through the post, and was held up by the strikes. If that is so, it is truly extraordinary that a major platform receives dividends from a substantial IT, in which its clients must hold many millions of shares, in that way. Each quarterly cheque they receive must be for a very substantial sum.

Let's hope the next one is not lost in the post! It must be fun though working for HL and opening the post and extracting cheques for such sums. It must be about the only business left where such entertainment is to be had.

I can't make up my mind whether (to put in kindly) HL is pulling my leg, or whether the dividend collection department of its business, and the dividend distribution section of a major UK IT still operate in the financial Stone Age.

IG used to be terrible with dividends, but they cleaned up their act. I never put too much faith in one broker though, they all have their annoying quirks.

I suggest you run your porfolio with Jarvis Investments,

Touch wood I ain't had one single issue. No probs getting divis on the exact day.

They handle all the withholding tax stuff without a fuss and the on-line portal works as good as any I have come across. Plus their dealing desk for telephone orders are really good and most importantly polite.

There seems to be so much grief noted by peeps on the bb's. I'm always surprised.

IG sound pretty good to be fair. I think you are probably right on iweb zangdook, though I have had accounts with them for a long time now and on the whole they have been pretty decent.

IG are £3 and dividends are there at start of business on the day. iWeb are just inefficient and unhelpful. Maybe it's because they're a small division of a huge bank and no-one cares.

To be fair to iweb, that's why they are £5 a trade. Your not at iweb for their prompt payment of dividends.

IWEB have previously said they have up to ten days to credit a/c....not great

Now in Dividend History in iWeb. They always show it in there but don't let you spend it until the next day. That's one reason I plan to transfer out - they may have an excuse for being late but there's no excuse for holding on an extra day after they acknowledge having it. They don't do it in regular non-ISA accounts but the ISA is where you really need it because you can't move more money in to trade early.

to be fair, if the co is paying by chq, its out of thier control... And they have allways been prompt in the past, faster than the other ones I use.

I know, right! I had the same excuse for CTY dividends from HL... That was payable on the 30/11... Still not had it... Yet HL have processed my ISA STCM Divi on Friday. Does not compute.
