Spawny100

Decent advice, it may fall back under 40p

Did anyone mention that STCM has performed a 'golden cross' - i.e the 50-day moving average has moved up through the 200dma???

Is that really true? If I take holy orders I can get out of paying council tax? Does it cover becoming a High Pirate in the Pastafarian religion?

I want to buy some more but am just waiting to see how low it goes before buying kicks in.

Weird to sell now. Anyone wanting to sell should have sold yesterday as they've lost money doing it now.

If you're a Jedi just go round to the council offices and chop them up with your fluorescent tube.

Does it count if you are a Jedi, I would love not to pay 300 a month

Take holy orders, or sign up as a student, and you're exempt from council extortion.

Mine is a free carry here having done well in STCM and others during and since the Pandemic. I take the Divi...It pays ( and more) my huge band G council tax bill. I'm happy with that.

No expert here. My usual caveat!

I get the feeling that a large buy order is being fulfilled.

Given the current economic circumstances, (especially in UK, of course), I struggle to find a better place to put money than STCM. So I will just collect my dividend here, reinvest it (not necessarily on 2nd December) and await the next payout in July next year. That should be another 5p, or (judging by the trading updates) even a little more than that.

Thanks Ken. Wasn't aware as not currently holding. Nonetheless...

Farnes Barnes.

The share has gone down 5p today because Steppe has gone ex a 5p dividend (pay day Dec2nd) today.

Jeanesy, that is exactly my thoughts especially considering the bigger dividend coming in July, the company management buys and the company’s track record.

It’s good in a way as the dividend can go back into more STCM stock at a lower price to bolster Julys dividend payment

Looks like quite a few selling now they have their dividend. Each to there own but it will be hard to find a better safe home for their money in this market.

Used to be in STCM, you know, when the markets were good. I still like the co, and may be tempted again one day if it sets up.

But when others say they are surprised the way it moves strikes me as odd. In the space of a couple of weeks, its gone up 25%+, and is then bemoaned when its marked down 10% on an open.

That is the volatility of the stock, its normal. And you have to position accordingly. If I were in now, it would be 29p SL, but ideally no break of 39p.

Edit - commodity stock. Even more volatile.

r_o_t_a Instead of borrowing money to invest before the xd. etc. etc.

You could wait till share price drop tomorrow and buy the divi's value on T20 and have the cash with you before settlement date!!!

Indeed, the divi drop and perhaps some slight lack of liquidity for sellers tomorrow might provide a great opportunity if you have the funds :-)

..or be happy with those shares you hold, look forward to the Xmas gift of the Divi and wait for the drop tomorrow and buy some more then in prep for a further 'gift' next July with expected cap gain too. ?..that's my strategy.

Lol - I had no idea as I was drunk, still not sure

Volume yesterday was 3 x the normal. I was expecting about 8 x normal volume today but we are currently on track for about 4x normal volume

Perhaps it will pick up, but should still give the traders a chance to take some off the table if they want and the divi chasers a chance to get in at a stella yield

For anyone unsure, you must be holding when the market closes tonight to qualify for the 5p divi announced

Agree with fozzie, must still be under the radar, was expecting this would get more coverage

Got to admit to being very surprised by the share price action here over the last week, I guess it goes to show how far off the radar this is. Bought more each day this week.

ROTA, love it. Borrow the divi to get a divi on the divi. This has really made me grin.
